There are almost a hundred sitting postures. There are seven sitting methods commonly used by Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism:
1. Squat down with your legs, which is the posture pursued by many yoga teachers. (Speaking of which, I snickered for three seconds. ) Because most people can't sit on this kind of double disc, many people have broken their legs, so it's no good just sitting quietly.
If you can't do it with your legs, you can do it alone. When a person does it, he can put his left foot on his right foot or choose to put his right foot on his left foot. If you can't, you can cross your legs. I began to learn to sit still in order to make myself comfortable.
2. The spine is straight. Beginners don't need to be too straight. Many people have heard the yoga instructor say that the spine is straight, which means that the position of the thoracic spine has been pushed out, so it is too straight.
3. knot fingerprints. Everyone likes to wear wisdom handprints in yoga class, but I like to wear samadhi handprints. Samadhi handprints are tied by placing the back of the right hand flat on the heart of the left hand, touching the two thumbs, and tying the hands together under the abdomen of Dantian. In Buddhism, it means fixed seal.
4. Open your shoulders slightly and relax.
5. Keep your head straight, the back of your head slightly backward and your jaw adducted. This is not to lower the head, but to slightly inhibit the activity of the two arteries on the left and right sides of the neck.
6. The feeling of closing your eyes and turning a blind eye. (Friends who often use their eyes can practice with their eyes closed completely. )
7. The tongue touches the upper jaw. I often forget the seventh one when I can't sit still.
After the posture is done, let's look at the precautions for sitting posture:
1. You must relax all your limbs and muscles, including your nerves.
2. You can't just sit still after eating, which hinders digestion, and you can't be hungry to avoid distraction.
3. Avoid being blown by the wind in a well-ventilated environment.
Keep warm when the climate is too cold, especially your legs.
5, beginners do not pursue the length of time, just start in a few minutes.
6. The hips must be padded with cushions, and the height of the cushions should be based on your comfort.
