What is the major of dietitian?
A nutritionist is a nutritionist. Nutritionists are professional medical personnel who help people to maintain or promote health through proper daily diet combination. They are professionals who meet the needs of society and market. They refer to professionals who have received professional knowledge and skills training, passed the national vocational qualification examination certification, obtained professional qualifications, engaged in nutrition guidance, disseminated nutrition and food safety knowledge and promoted public health.

Training object

The training objects of public dietitian qualification examination are: senior managers of food and nutrition enterprises; Teaching staff of nutrition-related majors in colleges and universities; University graduates in nutrition, medicine, nursing, food, biology, cooking, hotel and other related majors; Middle and senior managers of medical and health units, VIP beauty institutions, nutrition clinics, large catering enterprises, high-end hotels and other institutions; Executive chefs, senior chefs and social elites interested in private nutrition consulting industry.

Learning content

The contents studied by public nutritionists mainly include: nutrition foundation, modern medicine foundation, population nutrition foundation, food hygiene foundation, nutrition consultation and education, food nutrition evaluation, dietary nutrition guidance and disease prevention, measurement and evaluation of human nutrition status, community nutrition management and intervention, etc. Focus on learning and mastering the contents and skills of selecting dishes, preparing recipes, basic cooking, nutrition and so on.

Registration level

This profession is divided into four grades, namely, public dietitian (national vocational qualification level 4), public dietitian (national vocational qualification level 3), public dietitian (national vocational qualification level 2) and public dietitian (national vocational qualification level 1).
