What is the source of Buddha's thought?
First, Brahman's knowledge of sacrifice.
Brahman is the first of the four castes in ancient India and has the power of sacrifice. In order to pray for a fair death, a long life and prosperity, they often use sacrificial means (taking their own or others' bodies as sacrifices). They have an expectation of reincarnation, which may be the source of the Buddha's concept of reincarnation. However, the Buddha found that Brahman's sacrifice still relied on other forces and passive prayer, and did not actively strive for transcendence, so he was not satisfied.

Second, the skills and knowledge of yoga.
Yoga has eight practical methods of physical and mental cultivation. "Eight practices" means: one is forbidden, two is cautious and five is forbidden (killing, stealing, fornication, lying and greed); Second, persuasion, diligence, purity, satisfaction, asceticism, learning to recite, thinking about God and so on. Three sitting methods, namely meditation; Fourth, adjust interest rates; The five senses control the separation of feelings from the outside world; Six holds, the heart condenses in one environment; Seven Zen, after four Zen stages; Eight or three flavors, reaching the highest level of yoga. Yoga is actually a set of health care techniques, and later it became more and more mysterious. In short, it can only provide technology, lacking the support of ideological theory.

Third, the knowledge of Jainism.
In the primitive teachings of early Jainism, there was a strong concern about "samsara". They believe that what goes around comes around for the soul is inevitable. In order to get rid of the stain of "soul" reproduction, we must demand self-sacrifice, non-killing and non-violence. Therefore, this attitude of asceticism and self-discipline in life also provides ideological resources for the Buddha to create Buddhism.
