It is suggested to download "Thousand Listeners" (the latest version is 4.60, the website is/), open the music file to be converted, right-click the song to be converted into MP3 format in the playlist, and select "encoding format" and "save location" in the opened "conversion format" dialog box, which is simple and easy, supports multiple formats, and automatically downloads lyrics online. Highly recommended.
Reducing the code rate can reduce the file size.
The new version of Nero can not only record MP3 as CD, but also support other music files, including WAV and VDF files, but it is best to transcode the old MP3 into the new MP3Pro format by using Nero's built-in file encoding. Although this MP3Pro with the latest compression coding system adopts the old format name (i.e. *.mp3), the effect is quite different. MP3Pro system adopts bit/second technology, that is, the frequency of an MP3 is mostly 128kbit, while MP3Pro is fixed at 80kbit, but it can still keep the sound quality of MP3 at the best level and reduce the space occupied by each MP3 to 50% to 60%. That is, an MP3 with a space of 1MB is converted into an MP3Pro with only 600KB, but the sound quality is not damaged at all.
Streamlining MP3 files with MP3PRO
MP3 (Moving Picture Experts Group, Audio Layer III) is an audio compression format, which can make music files smaller without sacrificing sound quality. MP3 files can be compressed at different rates, but the more they are compressed, the more the sound quality will be degraded. The standard MP3 compression ratio is 10: 1, and a three-minute music file is about 4 MB after compression. Here, the author introduces MP3PRO, which is an upgraded version of MP3 format introduced by Thomson Multimedia (the developer of MP3 music format). MP3PRO can compress sound files to half the size of the original MP3 format, but it can maintain the same sound quality.
Similarities and differences between MP3PRO and MP3.
Mp3PRO can not only reduce the size of the original mp3 by half, but also the compressed MP3 file still has the extension of .mp3. MP3PRO files are completely compatible with MP3, that is, the old MP3 files can be played on the new MP3PRO player, and the new MP3PRO can be played on the standard MP3 software and equipment, but the effect may be poor, because the recording methods are different. MP3PRO uses two independent data streams to improve the sound quality: one contains some recorded information in the same format as the original MP3, and only these information can be detected by the old MP3 player; The other contains high audio data stream, which can be supported by the new version of MP3PRO player. Together, these two data streams create a higher quality sound.
Making MP3PRO format files
At present, there are few softwares for making MP3PRO files. Here I introduce two softwares.
1, MP3PRO audio player/encoder
(1) Download and install
The MP3PRO audio player/encoder introduced by Thomson Multimedia can play and compress MP3PRO files. The latest version is 1. 1.0, which can play all MP3 and MP3PRO files and can also be compressed. Wav files are converted into MP3PRO files with a bit rate of 64kbps. The installation of this software is very simple. Directly execute the file "MP3 Pro audio player _ V 1 _ 1 _ 0" after downloading. Exe "to install it. After the installation is completed, click the "Start" button, select "Program", and click "Thomson MP3PRO Audio Player" to start directly (as shown in figure 1).

(2) compress WAV file into MP3PRO file.
The compression operation is also easy. Press the "Code" button, and the display will be as shown in Figure 2. Enter the WAV file to be compressed in the Input input box, such as "e: estimate.wav". Of course, you can also click the "Select Input File" button on the right to make a selection. After specifying the WAV file, some information and length of the WAV file will be displayed. In the "Output" box, the folder and file name where the compressed MP3 is stored will be automatically displayed. Of course, it can also be changed by pressing the "Select Output File" button on the right. After selecting the above contents, click the "encode" button to start compression. During compression, the elapsed time, remaining time and compression speed during compression will be displayed. After the compression is completed, click the "X" button in the upper right corner to close it.

Note: This software can only convert WAV files into MP3PRO, and its compressed output files can only be MP3PRO sound files with 64kbps.
2. Nero Wave editor
Using MP3PRO audio player/encoder can only convert WAV files into MP3PRO, and its compressed output files are limited to 64kbps. Because of this limitation, it is very inconvenient to use MP3PRO audio player/encoder. The following author introduces a compression software without this restriction, which is Nero Wave Editor launched by Nero Company. Speaking of Nero, friends who have used recorders know that it does not produce recording software. Yes, that's it. The Nero Wave editor it provides is a part of Nero software package, which can not only edit audio files, but also convert audio files, not only convert WAV files into MP3PRO files, but also directly convert MP3 files into MP3PRO files.
(1) Install Nero Wave Editor
Since Nero Wave Editor is a part of Nero software package, Wave Editor will be automatically installed when Nero is installed, but Nero software must be Nero 5.5.4.0 or above (note: it is not a demo version).
(2) compressing files
Select Ahead Nero from the start menu and Nero Wave Editor. After starting the program, the interface is shown in Figure 3.
Figure 3 Interface of Nerowave Editor
Click the file menu, select Open, and then select the file to be compressed, which can be a WAV file or an MP3 file. After opening, click the play button to play. Select Save As ... In the File menu, select MP3PRO(*.MP3) from the Save Type drop-down list, and then click the Options button (as shown in Figure 4). If you want to convert it into an MP3PRO file, you need to select Enable MP3PRO in the settings box. It is not necessary to select this check box. Let's select this check box here, select the quality and bit rate of the converted audio file in the drop-down list, click OK to return, and then click Save. The system will start the conversion, then return to the main window and close it. The size of 47MB WAV file is 4.2MB after being converted into MP3, and 2.6MB after being converted into MP3PRO.
