Huangdao District is named after Huangdao. Huangdao, according to Jiaoao records, is also called "Qiboshan" and "Qiboshan Island". According to the Record of Repairing Rubber, "Huangdao is in the north of Huang An, which is called Island, but it is actually Hiraoka. Its north side can temporarily shelter from the wind, and it is impossible to stop for a long time in Wei Zhi. " "North of Weizikou is a small sea, and there is an island called Huangdao in the sea." "It can be seen that Huangdao got its name because it is located in the north of Anshan, Huangdao, and because it is surrounded by the sea, the soil layer is thin and contains high brine, and the earthwork is yellow, so it is named after the color, which is different from Qingdao on the east coast. 1June, 973, the State Council decided to lay a crude oil pipeline from the isolated island of Shengli Oilfield in the west to Huangdao, Jiaonan County, Changwei area in the east.
