Press the down arrow of the second button, and four options will appear, namely "Fast", "Normal", "High" and "Ultra High", which respectively represent different compression levels. The "fast" level has the fastest compression speed and the largest file capacity, and so on. "Ultra-high" level has the slowest compression speed, but the highest compression rate. Then, you can add a single WAV or a WAV document to the entire folder through the third or fourth icon. The selected file will appear in the information bar below. At this point, press the first "compress" button again, and the software will start working according to the compression level you specified. The progress bar is located in the lower right corner of the software.
It is also convenient to restore APE to WAV. First, set the software to the "decompression" state. Just press the first icon button to select the corresponding item, and then press the button, and the software will automatically begin to decompress.
There is also a path problem, which is actually very simple. There is an "output ..." in the "OPATIONS" option. Click on it, and there is an "output location" on the page on the right side of the dialog box. The next two lines choose to change to the original location or specify the path. To specify a path, select Export Specified Directory and click Browse.

1. How to play audio files in APE format?

2. For APEImage, can I choose music at will when playing?
Yes, but you need a suitable prompt file. Generally, the whole CD is compressed into an APE file with the corresponding cue file, which records the information such as the start time of each track of this CD. You can open this cue file with text editing software, and the content is similar to the following.

A.foobar can directly import cue files, and as long as the information in cue is correct, you can select songs and play them.
B For winamp, it seems that it is impossible to import 2 directly. X becomes cue, but there is a solution. There is a tool in Monkey's Audio to makeapl, the software for making ape (the installer has created a shortcut for it in the start menu), which can convert cue files into several corresponding apl files, each apl corresponds to an audio track, winamp supports apl, and everything is ok.
C Install a winamp plug-in named mp3cue, which enables winamp to support cue files.
Note: According to my own experiment, if you want to use this plug-in normally, you should add a picture file in winamp playlist instead of adding a cue file in foobar. As long as there is a cue file with the same name in the directory, the plug-in can recognize the third line of cue.

3. How to convert ape into mp3?
In fact, the monkey's audio supports an external codec, which can directly complete ape->; Mp3 conversion
Of course, appropriate settings should be made.
1. Download lame and copy it to the external directory under the installation directory of monkey (the related link below has the download address of lame version recommended by foreign authoritative forums).
2. Run the monkey'' audio and select Convert in the mode menu.
3. in the second button of the toolbar, select external-> crappy->; Configuration, fill in the parameters needed to compress mp3 here, and recommend it.

Just a reminder, the compression speed of the first parameter is much slower, and the machine is quite time-consuming because of its poor performance.

4. Can the wrong ape file be repaired? Or ignore it?
If the whole CD is pressed into ape, there is a corresponding cue file.
1。 Use make apl (a gadget attached to monkey audio) to convert cue into several apl files.
2。 By adding these apl in Monkey, each track can be decompressed into a separate wav. Of course, the track containing the error part cannot be decompressed normally. In theory, no matter what kind of ape, as long as you edit the appropriate apl and set the wrong part as a separate track, you can keep the other parts to the maximum extent.
5. How to burn APE to CD?
Answer. Ape-> WAV-& gt； laser record
This is the most commonly used method, which is suitable for both APEImage and multi-file APE, but it is also the most tedious.
B. burn CD with EAC
The recording function of EAC directly supports APE format, which is now ape->; The most convenient way to CD.
Menu tool in EAC-> write cd-r to turn on the recording function of EAC.
1。 If you have a ready-made cue file, it will be easier. Just import the cue file directly.
It should be noted that the path and name of the audio track file in the prompt must be correct. For more information about clubs, please refer to question 2.
2。 If there is no cue file, the downloaded file corresponds to an ape for each track, which is similar to carving wav or mp3 files into CDs in nero. The import command is under the layout menu (it is generally recommended to use "Append files as new tracks (index 1)"), or drag and drop directly.
C. using APE plug-ins for Nero
After installing the ape plug-in for nero, you can drag and drop it in nero, just like burning a cd with wav and mp3.

Nero also has other audio plug-ins in all common audio formats.
How to install the plug-in: extract the plug-in DLL to the "... \Ahead\Shared\AudioPlugins" directory.
Nero version requires more than 5.5.9.0.
Note: There is a major error in this early version of Nero Ape plug-in.
If you use Nero to import CUE to burn APEImage-& gt；; CD, it seems that it can be burned normally, and the number of tracks and time display are normal. But, play the engraved CD? All tracks are the same as the first track!
If there are more than one ape-carved CD, there is no such problem, and everything is normal.
The latest version (1.0.0.7) has fixed this bug according to my test. Please download the latest version.
If your machine is fast enough, install this plug-in and burn APE- > directly with nero. CD is also a good choice.
