Breaking (also translated as break dance, broken dancers are collectively referred to as B-BOY and B-GIRL) is a kind of technical hip-hop dance with personal style as the mainstay, and it is also the earliest dance of hip-hop in North America. Breaking originated in the Bronx in the 1970s. It is worth noting that most of the early break dancers were Hispanic Americans and African Americans.
