Interpretation of the concept of China Digital Man 1
The so-called "digital man" is actually a three-dimensional detailed human body structure synthesized in a computer. They have no feelings and no thoughts, but the data comes from the real human body. "Digital people" are neither real people nor robots. It uses modern information technology to realize the accurate simulation of human body from molecule to cell, tissue, organ and whole level, thus constructing the information system of human body's tissue morphology, physiological function and biological function. "Digital people" have the same biological data as people and can imitate real people to make various reactions. If equipped with sound and force feedback devices, it can also provide intuitive and natural real-time vision, hearing and touch.

Cut out the prototype of "China Digital Man 1".

"China Digital Man 1" is a "standard China person" selected by Southern Medical University from 20 voluntary donors. The specimen is a 28-year-old healthy male. In Southern Medical University, the corpse was grinded by 0.2 mm for each slice, and after obtaining the tomographic photos, HUUST completed the construction and visualization of the high-resolution structural data set, including the segmentation, identification, 3D reconstruction and data release of the original tomographic photos.

Millimeter grinding is the first step to form a "digital man". In layman's terms, it is to freeze the body, cut it into thin slices thinner than 0.2 mm from head to toe, and cut it into as many as 8952 pieces from head to toe. "China Digital Man 1" is more advanced than American digital human body data set and Korean digital human body data set in slicing accuracy, slicing quantity and data volume. The original picture of "China Digital Man 1" has a pixel of 4040×5880, which is the highest resolution human body cutting picture in the world.

Massive pictures spell out "China Digital ManNo. 1"

On the basis of massive original fault photos, Dr. Liu Qian led 24 researchers to process nearly 200,000 photos through the "Hundred Days War", completed the construction and management of massive data sets of digital people, and established the world's first high-resolution three-dimensional anatomical structure data set of human physiological system, which is the smallest three-dimensional data structure of digital human body in the world.

China is the third country with a database of "digital people" (namely "digital virtual people", also known as "visible people" and "virtual people") after the United States and South Korea, and "China Digital People 1" has the most advanced slicing accuracy, quantity and data volume.

"Digital people" will be mainly used in clinical medicine to carry out a series of diagnosis and treatment research that cannot be carried out on natural people. In other words, with "digital people", many operations can be simulated in the computer.
