There are Gui Huayuan and Rock Garden in the west of the park; There are characteristic arch bridges, illuminated walls and ground sculptures in the north gate of the Garden, and sculptures such as "Pearl-mussel Welcome", "Drum Sculpture" and "Garden Sign" in the south gate.
Zhanggong Mountain is the Tushan Mountain Range, and Tushan area was once the place where Tushan rocks lived in the late primitive society. Yu Hui village at the foot of the heaped-up mountain is said to be the fief of Dayu, the hero of water control. As an administrative village, it is the only one in China. Up to now, there is still a touching story that Dayu did not enter the house for three times to control water.
Zhanggongshan is a part of a famous historical and cultural mountain with a long history. According to Huaiyuan County Records, this mountain was named Zhanggongshan in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, and was later renamed Puhu. According to legend, there was a warrior named Zhang in the Ming Dynasty who lived in seclusion at the foot of the mountain. Because of its high respect, the local people stay away from Zhanggongshan, hence the name Zhanggongshan.
In the Qing Dynasty, there was a temple on the top of Zhanggong Mountain, and there was an early spring temple fair every year. The temple was originally named Sishan Temple, and later renamed Zhongyue Temple and Kannonji. Because the base of the temple is high in the south and low in the north, and the gate of the temple faces north, the local people also call it "inverted Kannonji".
In the 27th year of the Republic of China (1938), after the Japanese invaded Bengbu, Sishan Temple was completely destroyed.
1973 Bengbu municipal government decided to make use of the natural scenery and beautiful environment of Zhanggong Mountain and Huabei Lake to turn this mountain into a park, and the garden construction project was fully started on 1975. On July 1983, Zhanggongshan Park was officially opened to the public.
Since 1986, the infrastructure and scenic spots of Zhanggongshan Park have been improved day by day. Lakeside restaurants, waterfront promenades, gardens in gardens, Wang Huai Tower, children's paradise, rose garden and zoo have been built one after another.
In 2009, it was awarded the title of National AAAA Scenic Area by the National Tourism Administration.
In 20 12, the Zhanggong Mountain Scenic Area was upgraded and rebuilt after the study of Bengbu Municipal Government Meeting.
