Your C drive is suitable for old operating systems, such as windows2000 or XP. Old operating systems, such as windows98, only take up hundreds of megabytes of space after installation, but modern operating systems generally require high installation space. For example, windows8 recommends not to be lower than 32G. In fact, if you install more programs, you will need more space.
What I'm doing now is to directly divide the total capacity of the hard disk into a partition, such as a 465G hard disk and a C disk, and the capacity of the C disk = the total capacity of the hard disk =465G, so that no matter how I install the program, I won't run out of space unless I run out of space on the 465G hard disk.
(My hard disk: drive C capacity =465G)
It's time to give up the old partition method. Using multiple partitions will reduce the utilization efficiency of hard disk (do you often encounter the situation that the space of one partition is not enough? )
And transferring files between partitions is also very troublesome. In the single partition scheme, moving files from this folder to another folder is instantaneous, while in the multi-partition scheme, it takes a long time to copy or cut from this partition to another partition.
Also, do you think multi-partition (multi-disk) will run faster? In fact, no matter how many disks are divided, because the hard disk is still a disk, these so-called disks are logical, not physical, so there is no case that it is faster to divide more disks.
Maybe you have to ask, if there is only one partition (disk), how to reinstall the system? First, the modern operating system is very stable and generally does not consider reloading; Second, even if you reinstall, you don't need to format the hard disk. At the same time, there is no need to use ghost, which is a classic but actually very old operation mode. Win7/win8 reinstalling the system is as simple as installing an ordinary application. Click setup.exe and follow the prompts. The old system will automatically move to the folder named windows.old, and any important information of you will not be lost because of reinstalling the system, which is impossible for traditional formatting and ghost installation. After reinstallation, you can use windows Disk Cleanup Tool to clean the files of the old system.
I hope the above can solve your problem.
