Why are breeches called breeches?
Breeches are trousers designed and made for the convenience of riding. The legs of breeches are thin on the calf, and some are like being tightened on the calf; Boots are usually worn outside. The purpose of this is not to let the trouser legs hang on the saddle when getting on and off the horse, which will cause danger. With the disappearance of cavalry in the world, breeches have basically faded out of people's sight.
