Gaotang Temple in Dayi, this is a nun. Only once a year, for a month, the mountain is closed after welcoming pilgrims from May 28 to June 28 of the lunar calendar.
Gaotang Temple in Dayi County, Sichuan Province, was founded in the first year of Xiaowu in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD 376-396), more than 1,600 years ago. Located in Dunyi Township (now Jinyuan Street, Dayi County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province), it has eighteen ditches in the east, Lishan Peak in the south, high mountains in the west and Khan Lee in the north, stretching for about five or six miles. From a distance, the top of the mountain is like a reclining Buddha, and the back of the mountain is like a arhat Buddha.
On the screen in front of the mountain gate of Gaotang Temple, there are three Chinese characters "Gaotang Temple" inscribed by Zhao Puchu, President of the Chinese Buddhist Association, which are large and powerful. Along the stone steps, there are buildings such as Jiefeng Hall, Guanyin Hall, Wei Tuo Pavilion, Daxiong Hall, Xiandian Hall, and Tibetan Classics Building. Outside the temple, the cypresses are towering, the town is dripping green, the white clouds are elegant and curled, and the green hills are quiet and hazy.
