Professor Zhang Qicheng is a disciple of Feng Youlan, a great philosopher, and an academic successor of Ren Yingqiu, a famous contemporary Chinese doctor. He studied under Mr. Qian Chaochen, Mr. Zhu Bokun and Mr. Wang Hongtu successively, and collected the essence of Shirley's three medical schools.

Professor Zhang Qicheng is currently a professor/doctoral supervisor of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, the president of the Chinese Medicine Culture Research Association of the Chinese Medicine Association, and distinguished professor, a Chinese studies class of Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Zhejiang University and Wuhan University.
