Preparation before meditation

3. Wear loose clothes before sitting, so that the muscles are unconstrained and the blood is smooth. Whether in winter or summer, increase or decrease clothes according to the heat and cold.
4. Eat less greasy food before sitting, and don't eat too much. Eat less spicy food, such as garlic, onions, peppers and so on. It is easy to cause eating disorders, leading to groggy brain and distracted thinking during meditation.
If possible, have a cup of tea while it is hot before sitting quietly.
Time arrangement of sit-in
Sit-in can be once in the morning and once in the evening, and the time varies from a quarter of an hour to half an hour or even an hour. The best time to sit still is when you wake up, and the effect is the best. Any other time is fine, but it's best to sit on an empty stomach in the morning. Don't sit still immediately after eating. You can sit still for an hour after supper. Usually the diet should be light, and you can't eat too much greasy food. Vegetarian food is the best.
The specific operation of meditation
First, posture.
Meditation and meditation posture can be divided into three types: scattered disc, sitting chair, single disc and double disc.
Generally speaking, it is best to sit. You can sit on a single disc or a double disc. If you can't sit down for two dishes, you can also sit in a chair (that is, sit on the chair with your legs on the ground). Of course, it is best to sit quietly with two disks, which is the fastest.
Pay attention to the following points when sitting quietly.

Second, thinking and breathing.
After sitting down, calm down and breathe calmly. When you are calm and breathing smoothly, gently close your eyes or leave a light.
Focus on your breathing, silently count the number of breaths, and a breath is a count. So from Monday to Friday, we start again and train again and again.

Matters needing attention in sit-in
1. After sitting for at least 20 minutes, you can massage yourself, dredge qi and blood, and do aerobic exercises such as Tai Ji Chuan, walking or brisk walking.
2. After sitting for a period of time, it is a good phenomenon to increase appetite and exhaust (commonly known as fart). Don't worry.
If you are sleepy during meditation, you are too tired. It is recommended to sleep for half an hour to recover from fatigue. You can also stand up and walk when you are groggy, and then sit down when you wake up.
Don't stand up immediately after sitting, relax your legs first.
5. Meditation and meditation should be persistent and not rushed.
