A) Anti-cancer effect: Many evidences support the role of limonene in cancer prevention and treatment. In vivo studies have found that limonene has chemopreventive effects in a variety of tumor systems, including rodent models of breast cancer, skin cancer, liver cancer, lung cancer and precancerous lesions induced by chemical carcinogens.

B) Other effects: Due to the activity of HMG-CoA reductase (a rate-limiting enzyme that can inhibit cholesterol synthesis), it is possible to inhibit cholesterol synthesis. The mixture containing 97% d- limonene can be administered through gallbladder drainage, which can effectively dissolve cholesterol stones left by patients with postoperative stones.
