The demand for nutrition caterers in schools, institutions, enterprises and catering industry is increasing day by day, and will increase year by year from 2005.
At present, there are almost no people engaged in this profession in China. The training and assessment of nutrition caterers have been piloted in a few cities, such as Guangzhou and Chengdu, with good results. The entry threshold of this profession is not high, and the training period is about two months. Mainly study the basic knowledge of cooking materials, food nutrition, food safety, catering cost accounting, nutritious meal preparation, nutritious recipe making, nutritious meal making, food hygiene laws and regulations and professional ethics.
