Jiangning District started the landscape renovation of Zhushan Cultural Leisure Park from June 5th to 10, 2009. The reconstructed park consists of Zhushan natural mountain and Waigang River waterfront leisure green space. On the basis of the original mountain terrain, a 200-meter-long hydrophilic platform, wooden plank road and landscape revetment were built along the waterfront of Ganghe River outside the mountain bottom. Using the original depression on the mountainside, a music square of nearly 200 square meters was built; The top of the mountain was transformed into a leisure square with an area of nearly 400 square meters, and pavilions, corridors and flower beds were added. In the south of the square, there are anti-corrosion wooden hiking trails and leisure platforms, covering an area of 700 square meters.
At the same time, around Zhushan, a track around Zhushan was built for citizens to exercise, and four unique climbing passages were built to meet the needs of citizens for mountaineering and forest fire prevention. The transformed Zhushan Cultural Leisure Park organically combines ecological protection with cultural continuity, integrating culture, leisure, entertainment and education. The completion of Zhushan Cultural Leisure Park has added a leisure and fitness place for urban residents, further enhancing the image and cultural taste of Dongshan New Town.
