2. Slow product development
Most of the stone processing saw blades that consume the most diamonds in China are made by increasing the composition density of low-grade diamonds, and the diamond grade tends to be lower and lower. Some silicon carbide powder is even added to strengthen the hardness, resulting in fragile equipment, waste of stone, low processing efficiency and high power consumption. More importantly, the quality of stone processed with this saw blade is poor, which not only can't sell the price, but also makes domestic high-end buildings have to be decorated with imported plates. At the same time, domestic tools such as high-precision saw blades used for high-precision stone processing are basically imported products.
At present, the dependence of mechanical processing, especially automobile processing, on imported superhard abrasives has not been effectively reversed, and domestic products are only used in auxiliary processes, such as grinding. One of the reasons is the low level of domestic abrasive tools; Second, there is no perfect grinding test base. Most newly developed products are tested at the production site to explore grinding parameters. Most manufacturing enterprises lack high-precision product production equipment (lines). Although a few manufacturers have purchased and introduced advanced production equipment, the overall application scope is narrow, and most of the equipment can only meet the needs of general products. Most domestic diamond production enterprises are short of funds and basically make a living by producing middle and low-grade products.
Another reason for the slow development of products is that the strength of product development is far less than that of diamond single crystal, and the funds are far less than that of diamond single crystal.
