Clone problem and sound card problem, please help.
Windows systems below 2000 can be used. You can clone them to other computers. If it is a genuine xp system, it can also be cloned. But after cloning, you need to activate windows again. Of course, genuine ones have genuine serial numbers. Pirates may not be activated, because the system finds hardware changes, which may make you activate before logging in. This is hard to activate. Before cloning piracy, you must uninstall the hardware information and package it.

Usually, the Ghost clone we are talking about is only a system backup of this computer. If the image file cloned from Windows XP system is directly restored to other computers, it will not work properly. So how do we solve this problem?

We can install Windows XP and application software for a computer (mother machine). Then use tools to package the mother machine and manually remove the hardware drivers on the mother machine. Then use GHOst to make the C disk of the mother machine into a mirror file, and finally use this Gho mirror file to directly install Windows XP on other computers.

First, you can download the Windows XP SP2 packaging kit from Microsoft official website.

First, the optimization of cloning system.

In order to make the GHO image file of the system disk cloned by the mother machine smaller, the system of the mother machine should be optimized first.

1. Move the page file to another partition. Right-click my computer, and then select Settings → Advanced under Properties → Performance. The default paging file is located in the system partition (usually drive C). Just move it to another partition.

2. Turn off the sleep function under power management. Right-click the blank space of the desktop, select Properties → Screen Saver → Power → Hibernation, and uncheck the check box before "Enable Hibernation".

3. Delete the standby dynamic link library file. Enter cmd under Run to open a command prompt window, and then enter the following command:

sfc /purgecache

Second, uninstall hardware information.

The purpose of this is to clone a set of image files without the hardware information of the mother machine. In this way, when using this GHO file to restore other computers, the system can automatically retrieve the hardware configuration information of the corresponding computers.

1. Uninstall the network adapter, universal serial bus controller, sound card, video game controller, monitor and graphics card in device manager.

After uninstalling some hardware devices, the computer will be required to restart. At this point, please be sure to select "No" to prevent the computer from restarting. You can only restart the system after cloning with Ghost, otherwise everything you have done will be invalid.

2. Change the "ACPI Single Processor PC" attribute of "Computer" to "Standard PC".

Click "Device Manager → Computer →ACPI Single Processor Computer". Manually change the driver and select "Standard PC" from the list. After the change, you can't restart the computer.

3. Change "Intel (R) 8280 1babus main IDE controller" under "IDE controller" to "Standard dual-channel PCI IDE controller".

Third, run the installation manager.

Double-click "setupmgr.exe" in the toolbox and click "Next" in the welcome interface that appears. There are many steps here. Please refer to table 1 for each step and the operation to be performed.

After all operations are completed, the installation manager will automatically create a directory named sysprep in the system partition (drive C by default).

Double-click sysprep.exe in the toolbox, under Options, select Use Minimal Installation, and under Shutdown Mode, select Restart (see figure). After setting these two items, click "repackage" and the computer will restart.

Tip: 1. Don't click "factory" and "audit" casually, because as long as you click, the computer will take effect according to the settings in "shutdown mode", and it will be too late to regret it.

2. When the computer restarts, don't let it boot from the hard disk. Please modify the BIOS settings in time to boot the computer from floppy disk or CD to DOS.

Fourth, generate image files and install them.

Under DOS, use GHOst to make the contents of the C disk of the mother machine into a Gho image file. Because the file is relatively large, we can consider saving the image file on the hard disk or making it into a DVD. After the image file is completed, let the mother machine boot from the hard disk. During the startup process, it will automatically retrieve the hardware driver of this machine.

Install the GHO file on another computer and start it from the hard disk. The computer will automatically install all hardware drivers, and this computer will work normally for less than 20 minutes.

For sound cards, first check the volume control to see if a channel is turned off, and then check the connection. Monotone pronunciation means that there is little possibility of problems with the sound card, or reinstalling the driver. If nothing is solved, then you will be unfortunate.
