Chinese medicine preparations are included in the scope of medical insurance. It is understood that Chinese medicine has always been regarded as "simple, cheap and effective", and Chinese medicine preparations are the concentrated expression of these characteristics. Traditional Chinese medicine preparations were not included in medical insurance before, and patients can only pay their own expenses. After repeated argumentation by the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, at present, the first batch of 156 kinds of Chinese medicine preparations such as Huoxue ointment and Zicao oil have been included in the scope of medical insurance, and the normal management procedures for Chinese medicine preparations to be included in the medical insurance reimbursement catalogue have been established. This means that more traditional Chinese medicine preparations will be included in medical insurance and benefit the public.
