Heshan is the most outstanding of Laoshan Mountain, and it is called "the soul of Laoshan Mountain". It is named after the stone crane in Shandong Peak, which is legendary. Once upon a time, a group of cranes lived here, so local scholars were famous for cranes.

Heshan is backed by the old peak and faces the blue sea, with fresh air, strange springs and rocks, and a winding path leading to a secluded place. Throughout the ages, dignitaries, scribes and scholars have often set foot here, or inscribed poems and carved stones to show that they will never forget, or secluded in the mountains and devoted themselves to monasticism, adding luster to Heshan.
