Don't relax in daily maintenance.
The influence of environment on computer life can not be ignored. The ideal working temperature of the computer is 10℃-30℃. Too high or too low will affect the life of computer accessories. Its relative humidity is 30%-80%, too high will affect the performance of CPU, graphics card and other accessories, and even cause some accessories to short circuit; Too low is easy to generate static electricity, which is not conducive to the use of accessories. In addition, the dust content in the air has a great influence on computers. If there is too much dust, it will corrode the circuit boards of various accessories and chips for a long time; If the content is too small, electrostatic reaction will occur. Therefore, it is best to keep the computer room clean and tidy.
Some people think that using computers less or for a short time can prolong the life of computers, which is a one-sided and vague view; On the contrary, if the computer is not used for a long time, the computer accessories will be damaged due to moisture, dust, sweat stains and other reasons. Of course, if the weather is humid to a certain extent, such as: there is moisture on the surface of the monitor or chassis, don't start the machine without drying at this time, so as to avoid unnecessary losses such as short circuit.
Good personal habits also have a great influence on computers. Therefore, please perform the startup and shutdown procedures correctly. The boot sequence is as follows: peripheral devices (such as printers, scanners, UPS power supplies, modems, etc. ) should be turned on first, and then the monitor power supply is not connected to the host; The shutdown sequence is reversed: turn off the host first, and then turn off the peripherals. The reason is to minimize the damage to the host. Because when the host is powered on, it will produce a strong impact current to the host at the moment when the peripheral is turned off. After a period of time, you can't switch it frequently, because it will have a great impact on all accessories, especially on the hard disk. Generally, the time between shutdown and next startup should be at least 10 second. Pay special attention to avoid turning off the computer while it is working. For example, when the computer suddenly shuts down when reading and writing data, it is likely to damage the drive (hard disk, floppy disk, etc.). ); You can't move the machine when it is working normally. When shutting down, you should pay attention to exit the Windows operating system, close all programs, and then exit in the normal shutdown order, otherwise the application may be damaged. Of course, even when the machine is not working, try to avoid moving the computer, because excessive vibration will damage the hard disk, motherboard and other accessories.
Just like we have to wash our faces and brush our teeth every day, the computer needs your concern for her every day. General computer maintenance has the following points:
1. Keep the computer room dry and clean, especially the computer workbench should be dusted every day (or two or three days, depending on the cleanliness of the room). You know, the monitor is a powerful "vacuum cleaner". I once encountered an accident that the circuit board was short-circuited and caught fire because of the bad environment, thick dust inside the display and tidal turnover, which damaged the display.
2. Correct startup (first peripheral, then host) and shutdown. In fact, this should not be regarded as the content of maintenance, but many users always disagree, and even mistakenly think that the current computer even has a "soft shutdown", which is also a "cliche." But this is absolutely necessary: if the order of "peripheral first, then host" is reversed, it may make the system unable to identify related hardware or load device drivers.
3. Before using CD or floppy disk, be sure to kill virus first; Check the virus again after installation or use, because some antivirus software can't compress the virus in the file.
4. If the system exits abnormally or loses power unexpectedly, scan the hard disk as soon as possible and fix the error in time. Because of this, some cluster links of the hard disk will be lost, which will cause potential danger to the system. If it is not repaired in time, it will lead to some program disorder and even endanger the stable operation of the system.
Remember to clean it once a year or so.
In order to make the computer work normally for a long time, it is necessary for users to learn to open the chassis for computer maintenance. Of course, if you are not sure, you should entrust a professional to clean it once a year. For some brand-name machines, it is stated in the instructions that you can't open the chassis at will, so don't open the chassis, or you won't be guaranteed.
It is impossible for ordinary users to have professional tools for hardware maintenance. We can do it easily with the following tools: cross screwdriver, lens paper, balloon blowing (leather tiger), paper clip and a small desk fan.
1. Cut off the power supply, unplug the connection between the host and peripherals, open the chassis with a Phillips screwdriver, and take out the power box. You will see dust on the board. Blow carefully with balloons or leather tigers, especially near the accessories such as the air inlet and power box (air outlet) of the panel, and the plug-in part of the board. At the same time, a desk fan is used to blow air to take away the dust on the inner wall of the chassis of the dust box blown up by the balloon.
2. Remove the power supply. The exhaust of the computer mainly depends on the power fan, so the dust in the power box is the most. Clean it carefully with blowing balloons and then install it. In addition, we should pay attention to whether the blades of electric fans are deformed, especially after the high temperature in summer, the aging of plastics often makes the noise bigger, which is probably the reason.
3. Unfold the paper clip and insert it into the emergency eject hole on the front panel of the CD-ROM drive. With a slight force, the CD-ROM tray will open. Wipe everything gently with lens test paper. Be careful not to enter the CD-ROM drive or use the "cleaning disk" on the CD-ROM drive for cleaning.
4. Blow the balloon to remove the dust from the floppy drive.
5. If you want to remove the board, pay attention to whether the position is accurate, whether the slot is firmly inserted and whether the connection is correct.
6. Wipe the monitor with lens test paper.
7. Disassemble the back cover of the mouse, take out the ball, wash it with clear water and dry it.
