1, seed soaking
First, cut a slit on the side of bitter gourd seeds with nail clippers, then soak the bitter gourd seeds in hot water at 55℃, stir for 10 minute, and then soak for 12 hour after the temperature drops to 30℃. During the soaking process, change the water in time to wash off the mucus on the epidermis of bitter gourd seeds.
Step 2 accelerate germination
Wash the bitter gourd seeds, take them out, wrap them in clean gauze, put them in an incubator, keep the ambient temperature at about 30℃, and take root and sprout after one week, or directly wrap the gauze in a plastic bag and put it in a warm place to control the temperature. If the temperature is too low, the germination of bitter gourd will slow down.
Step 3 raise seedlings
When white buds appear in bitter gourd seeds, they can be buried in the soil for maintenance, and the soil thickness can be kept at 1 cm. When the buds grow to three or four leaves, keep the ambient temperature suitable and stable, and then transplant them to avoid low temperature and reduce the survival rate.
Step 4 manage
Bitter gourd should be ploughed in time from the seedling stage, weeds should be removed, soil hardening should be prevented and roots should absorb nutrients. When the seedlings continue to grow, it is necessary to carry out scaffolding treatment, and according to the growth trend of vines, the branches are wrapped around the brackets to strengthen ventilation. Then timely topping, pruning excess vines, and promoting the growth and fruiting of bitter gourd.
