Taoist Neidan meditation is guided by thought, and the main pulse of human beings is straightened out first, which is called "Ren Du Mai" (Ren Mai, the sea of whole body yin pulse, is the confluence of whole body yin pulse; Du meridian, the sea of yang pulse, is the confluence of yang pulse in human body), which is driven by the communication of yin and yang main pulse, so as to get through the whole body the twelve meridians, further relax the eight strange meridians, further get through the whole body collaterals, and finally make the whole body meridians run through.
In Buddhist meditation methods, "cultivating the mind" is usually the main method, and little attention is paid to physiological changes. Buddhist meditation, although similar to Taoism, also requires people to adjust their breathing and calm their minds. However, primary meditation has a set of Buddhist meditation methods, such as the concept of five stops, which are five ways for practitioners to visualize during meditation, with the aim of purifying their desires. Of course, the ultimate goal of meditation is to enhance people's wisdom, make people born with wisdom and purify nirvana.
It can be said that Taoist meditation pays more attention to improving people's essence, qi and spirit by improving people's physique, and finally makes people realize Tao. I believe that people's living standards can be changed through physiological changes. Buddhist meditation, on the other hand, pays more attention to the cultivation of people's spirit and thinking, and believes that people's living standards can be improved through the change of pure thinking.
