According to the provisions of the Civil Aviation Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the following circumstances can be carried:
Liquid, gel and spray drugs (including traditional Chinese medicine) can be exempted if they are accompanied by a doctor's prescription or a hospital certificate. The amount of medicine depends on the needs of passengers on the plane. No containers and plastic bags are needed.
Drugs should be handed over to security personnel separately for X-ray examination. Security personnel will ask passengers to show their doctor's certificate or prescription.
If the medicine you carry is a patented medicine bought by a pharmacy, there is no doctor's prescription. These drugs, such as liquid drugs, are packed in containers with a capacity of no more than 100 ml and in transparent plastic bags with a capacity of no more than one liter, which can be repeatedly sealed and passed the safety inspection.
If you have diabetes, you can bring enough insulin preparations and hypodermic syringes with needles to use on the plane, but you must show your medical certificate.
If diabetic passengers need to take personal food (such as sugar-free juice) to eat on the plane, and the container capacity is greater than 100 ml, they must produce a medical certificate before taking it. Exempted drugs and food should be separated from other hand luggage for inspection.
