In most cases, some dances need to walk on tiptoe. For example, when dancing the national standard dance, there are more opportunities for toes to land. This posture can not only make calf muscles and ankle joints get better exercise, but also regulate blood pressure through brain reflection, thus achieving the effect of lowering blood pressure. Excellent dancers often have this experience. When they walk into the ballroom after intense work, they will feel relaxed and happy, which is undoubtedly beneficial to patients with hypertension. According to the survey of Shanghai Senior Sports Association (1988), there are 65,438+ten thousand disco dancers in Shanghai, accounting for 6. 1% of the middle-aged and elderly people in the city. Among the 80 cases sampled, there are 2 1 patient with hypertension. After half a year's fitness dance exercise, the average blood pressure dropped from 2 1.23/ 13.55 kPa (159.63/1.84 mm Hg) to18.6//. It is also reported that the general manager of a company in Jianghan District of Wuhan insisted on ballroom dancing for 2 years, which basically relieved hypertension and improved coronary heart disease.
Although dancing has a good effect on hypertension, we should pay attention to the following points:
(1) Dance must be used as an exercise means for fitness and treatment, not just a cultural and recreational activity, and it should be persevered.
(2) Suffering from severe hypertension, cardio-cerebral complications and elderly patients, don't dance for too long, let alone dance badly.
(3) The volume of the dance floor should be moderate, and soft and slow dance music is appropriate. Disco, rock or heavy metal music should be avoided.
(4) Dancing should be done half an hour after a meal. It is forbidden to dance immediately after a meal.
