How to export from Word? And how to identify the emz format.
And this picture in word, after I magnified it several times, is very clear. I think the original picture must be a very large vector picture. It may be made by ArcGIS, but we don't know the format of the original picture.

I searched online for ways to export pictures: ① Save the document as a web page format-a web page (html format). Suppose the saved file is doc.htm. At this time, outside doc.htm, there is a doc.files folder. There are two files in the folder, 1.emz and 2.gif, one of which is the original size file and the other is a smaller file. ② Open this emz file with winrar, and you can see that there is a file without extension. Just extract it and add an emf extension. Next, you can use the emf format picture directly. There are more than 1M extracted, while the gif format is only 150kb.

Knowledge link: scientific name of emz file: compression enhanced metafile, emz file =emf file +zip compression, which often appears in email attachments, web folders generated by word and other places. To put it bluntly, "compressing enhanced metafiles" means compressing an image file, and the compression method is zip. So basically, emz files are image files.

In order to view this image, I summarized two methods here.

One way is to open an office window casually, such as word, excel or PowerPoint, then click Insert-Image-From File on the menu, and then select the emz file you want to view, and you can see the image in emz. Another way is to decompress the emz file you want to view directly with winzip, 7zip, winrar and other decompression tools. You will get a file without suffix, but you can still view it with Windows picture and fax viewer. If you have to add a suffix, then the suffix is emf.

Function expansion: used for slimming word documents with many pictures.

You can save word as a web page and automatically generate a folder with the same name, which is a picture file. Hehe, there will be an emz file generated at the same time.
