How to distinguish TR fabric from TC fabric?
T/C: T stands for polyester, C stands for cotton, and T/C stands for polyester cotton.

T/R: T stands for polyester, R stands for viscose fiber, and rayon is a common name for viscose. A textile made of 65%-67% polyester and 33%-35% cotton, commonly known as "polyester".

The differences are as follows:

1, TC viscose fiber is long fiber, and TR cotton is short fiber. You can tell whether the fiber of the yarn is long or short as you untie the warp and weft yarn.

2, luster. TC cotton fiber naturally curls and is dull, and TR looks brighter than TC.

3. The fabric surface is fuzz. TR is rarely pilled, and their drooping feeling is different. TR is more drooping. When the yarn is untwisted, it depends on whether it is filament or staple fiber. The filament is TR.

4. Identify in water. The harder fabric is TR fabric, because the wet modulus strength of viscose is higher.

5. Combustion identification. There is smoke and residual ash when TC burns, and colloid when TR burns.

6, feel. TR will feel soft and the surface will be hairy, while TC cotton fiber is shorter than rayon, so the wool feeling of cotton should be natural.

7. The purpose is different. TC common fabrics, such as jeans, shirt cloth, TR cloth, etc., generally have a good drape, and are often used as men's and women's suits and trousers.

Extended data:

Advantages of TR fabric

(1) high strength, short fiber strength 2.6~5.7Cn/dtex, high strength fiber 5.6~8.0Cn/dtex. Because of its low hygroscopicity, its wet strength and dry strength are basically the same, and its impact strength is 4 times higher than that of nylon and 20 times higher than that of viscose fiber.

(2) Good elasticity, close to wool. When stretched by 5%~6%, it can almost completely recover. The crease resistance is better than other fibers, that is, the fabric does not wrinkle and has good dimensional stability. The elastic modulus is 22~ 14 1cN/dtex, which is 2~3 times higher than that of nylon.

(3) Good water absorption.

(4) Good wear resistance, which is second only to nylon and superior to other natural fibers and synthetic fibers.

(5) Good light resistance, second only to acrylic fiber.

(6) Corrosion resistance, resistance to bleaching agents, oxidants, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids, resistance to dilute alkali and fear of mildew, but thermal alkali can decompose.

Advantages of polyester-cotton fabric

It not only highlights the style of polyester, but also has the advantages of cotton fabric. It has good elasticity and wear resistance under dry and wet conditions, stable size, small shrinkage rate, and is characterized by being straight, not easy to wrinkle, easy to wash and quick-drying.
