What are the main pain points of fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia syndrome is more common in women, and the most common onset age is 25 ~ 60 years old. Its clinical manifestations are varied, but there are mainly the following four groups of symptoms.

1. Main symptoms

Systemic muscle pain and extensive tenderness points are the symptoms of all patients with fibromyalgia syndrome. The pain spreads to the whole body, especially the axial skeleton (neck, thoracic vertebra, lower back), scapular belt and pelvic belt. Other common parts are knees, hands, elbows, ankles, feet, upper back, middle back, wrists, hips, thighs and calves. Most patients describe this pain as dull and distressing. Patients often report joint pain, but no joint swelling.

Another phenomenon is the tenderness point of some special parts, which exists in tendons, muscles and other tissues and is often symmetrically distributed. When pressing these tender points with a certain force, patients will feel pain, but in normal people, there will be no pain.

2. Common symptoms

Symptoms in this group include sleep disorder, fatigue and morning stiffness, and cognitive dysfunction. About 90% patients have sleep disorders, which are manifested as insomnia, insomnia, dreaminess and listlessness. However, the sleep disorder of patients with fibromyalgia has two important characteristics. First, even if the sleep time can reach the sleep time of normal people of the same age, the patient's mental and physical strength will not recover. Some patients even complain that they are more tired after sleeping than when they don't sleep. Another feature is that they have difficulty falling asleep. 50% ~ 90% patients feel tired, and about half of them have severe fatigue symptoms, which have nothing to do with the amount of exercise. 76% ~ 9 1% patients will have morning stiffness. Most patients will also have cognitive dysfunction, such as memory loss, difficulty in concentration, less fluent speech, decreased computing ability, etc. Some patients also feel stiff all over.

3. Other symptoms

Some patients will have pain and swelling around the joints, but they will not see obvious joint swelling. Other symptoms include headache, irritable bowel syndrome or bladder syndrome. Patients with irritable bowel syndrome are prone to abdominal pain, diarrhea and constipation alternately, but there is no abnormality in gastrointestinal examination; Patients with irritable bladder will have frequent urination and urgency, but urine, bladder and kidney tests are normal. Some patients still have pain. Patients with fibromyalgia usually have some psychological abnormalities, including depression and anxiety. In addition, patients' working ability has declined, about13 patients need to change jobs, and a few people can't stick to their daily work. The above symptoms are often aggravated by cold weather, mental stress and overwork.

4. Symptoms of other diseases

Some patients with fibromyalgia syndrome may have some rheumatism at the same time. The clinical symptoms at this time are the interweaving and overlapping of the two symptoms.
