How to deal with it
If you are really worried, you can take rhodiola sometime before departure to help your body lay a good foundation and take preventive measures. After entering the plateau, you can take blue pills to help your body adapt. Generally, it will not be a big problem to adapt.
On the first day when I got off the plane in Lijiang, I had a reaction, but it was not serious, mainly because my temples were swollen and my blood pressure was estimated to be a little high. This situation is mainly due to the rapid change of altitude, and the body does not adapt (the plane is pressurized, and there is no altitude effect), but after taking a break and sleeping the next night, the adaptation period of the elderly may be longer. As long as I don't have strenuous exercise, there is nothing wrong with high reaction. Personally, I think drugs and oxygen tanks are not particularly useful, especially high reaction.
It must be slow, and it must be slow.
There are five kinds of people who should not rush to the plateau.
First, patients with cardiovascular diseases. Including patients with coronary heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, congenital heart disease, myocarditis, myocardial history and heart failure.
Second, patients with hypertension. Because the plateau environment will lead to vasoconstriction and increase the blood pressure of patients.
Third, people with poor lung function. For example, patients with chronic bronchitis, emphysema, cor pulmonale, tuberculosis and pulmonary interstitial fibrosis, due to thin air and low oxygen content in blood vessels, will aggravate the symptoms of such patients.
Fourth, cold patients. Experts explained that because people are stressed when they catch a cold, the bronchi and respiratory tract are also in an unhealthy state. If you enter the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau at this time, your condition will get worse.
5. Patients with hyperlipidemia. The plateau environment with thin oxygen can promote the increase of human red blood cells, so the blood of patients with hyperlipidemia will be more viscous, resulting in hypoxia.
Before going to high-altitude mountainous areas, you must have a physical examination and psychologically take a "vaccination". It is very important to keep a relaxed and healthy mood. Altitude sickness varies from person to person, and it is difficult to predict before going to the plateau. Everyone's reaction is different. Generally speaking, thin people are better than fat people, women are better than men, short people are better than tall people, and young people are better than old people. So I suggest eating rhodiola before going to the plateau, but many people think the effect is average. I suggest preparing a can of oxygen tablets. Many people have a good reaction and can be relieved within half an hour after the reaction. Finally, I personally think that in a trip, besides enjoying beautiful scenery and delicious food, health and safety are the most important.
