Tongren Health Vocational and Technical College offers the following majors: ecological agriculture technology, tea production and processing technology, facility agriculture and equipment, agricultural product processing and quality inspection, modern agricultural economic management, landscape technology, animal medicine, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, construction engineering technology, electromechanical integration technology, drug production technology, computer network technology, data technology and clinical medicine.

Tongren Vocational and Technical College was established in June 2002 with the approval of Guizhou Provincial People's Government. It is a provincial public full-time college approved by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government.

As of February 20 16, the new campus of the school covers an area of 1 160 mu, with 13 secondary school branches and 50 higher vocational majors. There are 802 faculty members, 4 1 full-time teachers, 0/54 associate senior teachers, and more than 30,000 full-time students.
