1. First, open a prepared portrait picture as follows. If the picture is too dark, you can use ctrl+L shortcut command to brighten it appropriately.
2. Edge lines simulate the cartoon effect of characters: first, assign filters to the pictures at the edge of the poster. Filter > artistic effect > poster edge. The purpose is to brighten the edges of characters, which is equivalent to adding strokes to cartoon characters at the back.
3. In the poster edge command panel, you can adjust the edge thickness (as shown in the red box below) to make the outline of the characters thicker, so that the brush strokes in the later comics will be more effective.
4. Reduce the detail effect of cartoon characters: add images to pictures >; Adjust > brightness/contrast command. Adjust the parameters as shown below to show your face a little.
5. Assign a woodcut filter to the picture first. Filter > artistic effect > woodcut You can control the number of color display of comics by the number of color levels. You can also add some details through edge simplification and edge fidelity.
