"Never too old to learn" and "Lifelong learning is the lifestyle of 2 1 century" have become people's knowledge. In the computer room of Fuzhou Bureau of Retired Veteran Cadres, we can see old-timers with gray hair going in and out with schoolbags on their backs, but at the same time, there is a growing weariness among many middle school students.

Based on the situation of our school, this paper makes a superficial exploration and analysis of the reasons why junior high school students are tired of learning, in order to find some feasible solutions.

First, the performance and harm of middle school students' weariness of learning.

Weariness refers to the unhealthy psychological phenomenon that students lose interest in school life, feel bored, hold an indifferent attitude, and even hate everything related to school and study.

First, publish a set of data. According to my sampling survey of four classes in junior high school in our school (the respondents selected 1-2 classes in three years according to the class spirit, that is, Class E and Class H in Grade 7, Class A and Class C in Grade 9 in 8th grade), 78.7% of the students are a little tired of learning, and 17% are seriously tired of learning. Students think that this kind of learning weariness will bring the following effects: 65% students think it will directly lead to the decline of their grades, 25% students think it will develop into truancy, 8% students think it will lead to puppy love, and 2% students hold different views.

It can be seen that weariness of learning has become the most common and harmful problem among junior high school students in our school.

The main manifestations of middle school students' weariness of learning are: weak learning motivation, weak learning interest, incorrect learning attitude and lack of initiative in learning; Unwilling to attend class, often deliberately being late, leaving early, or even absent from class for no reason on the grounds of tidying up housework or going to the infirmary to see a doctor; Even in class, I don't want to attend classes, often distracted, sleeping, and even making trouble, which seriously disrupts classroom discipline and makes teaching unable to proceed normally. They are indifferent to all learning activities such as practice, homework and exams; If they are forced to study, there will be painful, nervous and anxious emotions or confrontational and indifferent attitudes in words and deeds. The extreme manifestations of weariness of learning are contradicting, beating and scolding teachers, playing truant and running away from home.

The age of junior middle school students is 14- 16 years old. Students in this period are both in adolescence. They are active in thinking, but they are not comprehensive and superficial, and sometimes their ideas are extreme. Their emotions are rich and strong, but they are not mature and stable, and they are prone to impulsive imbalance; They are eager for independence, but lack social experience, and their ability to distinguish right from wrong is not strong, but they are good at imitation, easily influenced by society, and act blindly. So this period is also the peak of truancy and running away. In this "dangerous period" with unstable psychological outlook and great plasticity, if they are tired of learning, it will easily lead them to go astray and waste their lives.

Second, the reasons why junior high school students are tired of learning.

Among the 136 students surveyed, 12.5% students' weariness comes from family pressure; 19.9% students are tired of learning because they disagree with their teachers; 26.47% of the students are tired of studying for their own reasons, but they are happy to wander around the society. What they see is a colorful world, and with the continuous development of social productive forces, society attracts more and more students, which leads to weariness of learning. Another reason is that 59.5% students think that desertion in class and delay in finishing homework will also produce weariness.

It can be seen that middle school students' weariness of learning is influenced by many factors, including external objective factors such as society, family and school, and subjective factors of middle school students themselves.

(1) The objective factors that cause junior high school students in our school to be tired of learning.

1, social factors

Dialectical materialism tells us that matter determines consciousness, and consciousness has a great reaction to matter. Correct consciousness can promote the development of things, while wrong consciousness will hinder the development of things.

Since the reform and opening up, with the establishment of the socialist market economic system, people's lives have undergone great changes. These changes are also reflected in middle school students, making their ideology, values and moral orientation change quietly. Among them, those bad ideas in society have seriously affected middle school students, causing them to be tired of learning.

(1) Money worship and hedonism, unhealthy trends in various fields, and the decline of social moral standards all have a negative impact on middle school students, making them lose interest in learning. So "money first", "pleasure first" and "the futility of reading" spread among students. Let me give you a simple example: I talked about "taxes are taken from the people and used by the people" in class, so please express your views. A student asked, "What I care about most is: What can I do to evade taxes?" When we are shocked and speechless, we can't help thinking deeply. What society lets students see and think is that money is won by means, not by down-to-earth study and accumulation.

(2) At present, there is a "back door" to find a job in society, and some uneducated people can get good jobs. This phenomenon has seriously dampened the enthusiasm of some students, encouraged the indifference of some students with social background to learning, and aggravated the middle school students' weariness of learning.

2. Family factors

Man is a natural person first, and then a social person. Family is the earliest place for people to socialize. Family is the cradle of life development, the harbor of children's mind, and parents are the mentor of children's mind. In our school, 12.5% of students are tired of learning from family pressure, of which 9.56% is related to family economic situation, and 28.6% are tired of learning from lack of communication with parents, classmates and teachers. It can be seen that the bad family environment has contributed to the emergence of middle school students' weariness of learning.

(1) Family members attach importance to fame and fortune but ignore the wrong demonstration role of knowledge concepts and behaviors, which makes middle school students feel that reading is useless and suffers, thus taking a utilitarian attitude towards the judgment of educational value and producing a feeling of weariness.

(2) Most students in Sunshine come from families with superior family conditions or even strong backgrounds, such as general manager of Fuzhou Nankai Communication Company, vice chairman of Changfu Group, deputy director of Xiapu State Taxation Bureau and manager of Xiapu Fishery Company. Such a family provides a superior environment and good family education for children, but it also brings doting. 3% of the students have this view in their hearts: Anyway, my parents have power and influence, and they will find a satisfactory job if they don't study hard now, so they are not diligent and don't like thinking. On the other hand, many families provide opportunities for their children to go abroad. Most students pin their hopes on going abroad and think that school life is redundant. Therefore, their enthusiasm for learning is not high, and they get tired of learning over time.

(3) Due to the imbalance of social development, some family environments have become very bad, such as parents' divorce and separation, or parents' unstable work, or parents' interests are too extensive to take care of their children. This is seriously manifested in the divorce, remarriage or absence of parents in our school. According to the survey, 4 1.7% students in our school do not live with their parents, but are supervised by other relatives, ranging from half a year to more than ten years. Without good family education, students can't feel the attention and care of their relatives. One child wrote, "What impressed my parents most was that I sat with them." Because of this, children's behavior habits from childhood are also very poor. Children who lack learning autonomy can't develop good study habits, loaf around in school, even play truant and play games online outside.

3. School factors

(1) The concept of education is out of date. Compared with society, education is relatively backward and can't keep pace with the development of the times. Although the new curriculum reform has been implemented, it is still "exam-oriented education" under the baton of the senior high school entrance examination and the college entrance examination. The combination of curriculum reform and school situation brings confusion, such as mathematics group: the textbook knowledge is simple, but the exam is difficult, students apply what they have learned, and teachers feel frustrated after the exam, so teachers can't grasp the teaching difficulties; In the Chinese group, the new curriculum standard has lowered the requirements for the teaching of basic knowledge, and the contents of all kinds of test papers can hardly involve teaching materials, accounting for less than 20%. Students are not interested in the knowledge in class, and there is not much accumulation of extracurricular knowledge. Students can't feel a sense of accomplishment in the process of learning, and it will inevitably bring weariness over time. Among them, 39.7% students are tired of learning because of poor grades. Ruan of Class 9 D wrote in his reflection after the monthly exam: "I didn't do well in the first exam, and I didn't know what to do. I am very sad and feel inferior. I just want to work hard, but I haven't made progress several times. I don't want to work hard anymore. Then I won't feel inferior and get used to it. " This is a child from inferiority to numbness!

(2) Our school is a closed, full-time and large-scale private school. Many students have developed bad habits in their original schools, such as surfing the Internet and playing games. In order to correct their children's habits, parents put their hopes on their children in our school, so the proportion of students who are tired of learning is higher than that of other schools.

(3) The teaching quality is not high and the teaching methods are not diverse enough.

"The outside world is wonderful." Closed teaching has both advantages and disadvantages. Its disadvantage is that it is not fast enough to collect information from the outside world. In the era of rapid updating of knowledge, the teacher, the "preacher", failed to collect fees in time, which seriously affected the teaching quality. Some teachers fail to organize classroom teaching scientifically according to the characteristics of students in our school, and still follow the past model, focusing only on completing the teaching plan, which makes students' interest dull. This has become another important factor that students are tired of learning.

(2) The subjective factors of middle school students' weariness of learning.

Judging from the subjective factors that cause middle school students to be tired of learning in the information age, the main reasons are that students lack internal motivation, lack of self-confidence in learning, and poor adaptability and psychological endurance.

(1) lacks ideals and ambitions, and lacks the intrinsic motivation to learn.

Ideal is the driving force of a person's struggle, but some middle school students are confused about the future and have no lofty ideals and clear goals. They go to school under the pressure of their parents, or just to find playmates, and regard the school as a refuge and playground instead of a place to study. Lack of internal motivation for learning can easily lead to weariness of learning.

(2) The foundation of cultural knowledge is not solid, and learning lacks self-confidence.

Middle school students have a strong sense of adulthood, and they need self-esteem and "face". However, some middle school students think that learning can't bring them happiness, because they don't have a solid foundation of cultural knowledge, don't understand the courses they are studying now, and their academic performance is not ideal. On the contrary, they let themselves be "humiliated", and their self-confidence was severely hit, which led to weariness of learning.

(3) Poor adaptability and psychological endurance.

The study in middle school is more intense and arduous than that in primary school, and the discipline requirements are stricter. Our school is full of boarding, and it is very uncomfortable to eat and live without parents. It is easy to feel bitter and tired, and psychologically unbearable, so I have to abandon school and go home to solve it.

Third, some methods to eliminate and prevent students from being tired of learning.

Because there are many reasons why middle school students are tired of learning, we must start from many aspects to eliminate and prevent their weariness.

(1) Internal factors are the key to the development of things. Eliminating and preventing students' weariness mainly depends on students' own efforts. In order to avoid the feeling of being tired of learning, they should carry out the education of learning purpose, set up lofty ideals from childhood, combine the education of learning purpose with ideal education, hold story meetings, introduce the stories of some celebrities who are studying hard, and hold theme class meetings, such as "Beautiful Hope" and "Meeting for Twenty Years", to educate students to closely link their personal ideals with the interests of the motherland, and look forward to the knowledge requirements of social development for life, so that students can clearly understand their learning purposes and learn correctly.

(2) strive for parents' cooperation and form a joint force of education.

Parents are children's first teachers, and family is the soil for children's growth. Therefore, in the process of helping students to correct their weariness of learning, we should not ignore the influence of family on their children. We should strengthen the contact between home and school, report the children's various performances in school in time, publicize to parents how to educate their children to be human, how to guide their children to learn, how to guide their children to make self-psychological adjustment, bear setbacks, publicize the dangers of blind doting, beating and cursing, corporal punishment and indulgence, and guide parents to cooperate with the school. Some head teachers in our department adopted the weekly "home-school contact card" method and achieved good results.

(3) Give more care to students and let children love their teachers.

During the ten-day boarding life, the teacher is the parents of the children, giving them more care in life and study, especially the class teacher looking for opportunities for care and education in life and study. Create opportunities for them to regain their confidence. Teachers should always create some opportunities, such as how to answer a seemingly difficult but simple question, reading their short words in public, a burst of warm applause, two words of praise and a few trivial prizes, which may help these students get out of the quagmire of disappointment, re-experience the joy of success and gain valuable self-confidence.

(4) Improve the teaching quality and enliven the classroom atmosphere.

Teachers can enliven the classroom atmosphere through various means, such as: changing the classroom environment and completing the role transformation; Using various means, including multimedia, to turn the classroom into a big stage, and prepare more faces, students will feel very fresh. With freshness, will you lose interest? Promote practice by competition, change coercion into motivation, and learn games and game-based learning, such as quiz and riddle guessing. Let students be active in class and even test teachers, so the effect is obviously different.

(5) Build campus culture, enrich students' extracurricular activities, and let students see the value of knowledge, so as to achieve the purpose of educating people through activities, such as conducting intelligence contests and speech contests. Organize subject interest groups, carry out small inventions and papers, organize students to visit and participate in some life practice activities, in which students adjust their value orientation and love scientific knowledge.

(6) Actively strengthen the quality of teachers, employ teachers with a strong sense of responsibility as class teachers, do a solid job in students' ideological work, establish a teacher-student relationship of mutual trust and respect, and form a United class style and an upward style of study; Improve teaching facilities to ensure teaching quality; Improve the school's logistics work, meet students' needs in study and life as much as possible, avoid worries and reduce the psychological burden of study.

In a word, it is a long-term and complicated task to eliminate the psychology of learning weariness, which requires the joint efforts of society, schools, families and themselves. We should proceed from reality, respect children and give them scientific education, so as to effectively put an end to the spread of weariness and let students develop healthily.
