Brief introduction of Sanda content
The basis of healthy body lies in mastering scientific exercise methods. With the implementation of physical education and health curriculum in middle schools, the guiding ideology of health first is increasingly recognized by teachers and students, and their enthusiasm for practice is high. In order to make students master scientific fitness methods in the process of receiving physical education and lay a good foundation for lifelong sports, the Ministry of Education further proposed in 2004 that students should master two sports skills and one artistic specialty in the nine-year compulsory education stage to lay a good foundation for all-round development. This is the "2+ 1" project launched at the same time as the curriculum reform.

In order to help schools and students better meet the national physical education and health curriculum standards and realize the "2+ 1" project plan, we have compiled a set of middle school physical education and health elective textbooks suitable for middle school students according to the curriculum standards and the traditional characteristics of sports in southern China. This textbook has 14 volumes, namely basketball, football, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, swimming, Tai Ji Chuan, Nanquan, Sanda and Taekwondo. In each project fascicle, we introduced colorful sports events, the most dazzling sports stars, rich and varied technical movements, practical learning and training methods, and set up columns such as "Thinking and Exploration" to open our minds, "Try and Evaluate" to develop ourselves, "Do you know" to broaden our horizons, "Explore and Activity" to develop our abilities, and let students know about people in various sports. Understand and learn the basic skills of various sports, master scientific self-exercise methods, improve the ability of cooperative learning and inquiry learning, improve the ability to participate in and organize sports activities, and cultivate self-esteem and self-confidence; Let students experience and enjoy the happiness brought by sports while enriching their sports knowledge!

This set of selected teaching materials can be used in conjunction with the textbook "Physical Education and Health" in senior high schools. Students can choose courses within the scope determined by the school according to their own conditions and hobbies. Teachers and students in junior high schools can also choose this set of teaching materials in the teaching and activities of "2+ 1" project.
