Jiangxi Sanghai Economic and Technological Development Zone, 1992, approved by the provincial government, is a key development zone of Changjiu Industrial Corridor. The development zone is located in Xinqizhou, the northern suburb of Nanchang, adjacent to Changbei International Airport and 105 National Road. Beijing-Kowloon Railway and Changjiu expressway run through the whole development zone, and the traffic is very convenient. The overall orientation of the development zone is: Nanchang Ecological Satellite City and an important manufacturing base. The development zone covers an area of 58 square kilometers, with a permanent population of more than 40,000 people and more than 0/000 employees, including more than 2,500 senior, middle and junior professional technicians. There are more than 40 enterprises in the area, mainly involving pharmaceutical, packaging, textile, machinery, food and other industries. The pharmaceutical industry, led by enterprises in Sang Hai Pharmaceutical Factory and Jisheng Pharmaceutical Factory, has begun to take shape, and its annual output value and annual sales have maintained a good growth momentum. The industrial chain is gradually improved, and the industrial agglomeration effect is increasingly enhanced.

In order to adapt to the development of Changjiu Industrial Corridor in Jiangxi and realize the rapid expansion of industrialization and urbanization in Nanchang, in June 2004, Nanchang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government decided to adjust the management system of the development zone and realize the separation of government from enterprise. The newly established Development Zone Management Committee is an agency of Nanchang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, which exercises government functions, enjoys municipal approval authority and can handle various businesses quickly.
