From the technical point of view of practice, tantra is very similar to the southern Sect of Taoism. It all starts with the transformation of the body. In the words of Taoism, life comes first and sex comes second. The tantric midvein is divided into seven rounds, which is the intersection of the midvein and the left and right veins. The position of the midvein is on the straight line from the top of the body to the perineum. Morphologically, it is a light blue hollow tube, which is not true. It needs a certain level of practice to see it. Ordinary people are unreasonable, and practitioners vary in thickness due to different levels. There are also rough and true. Tong Zhen, if you want to see the bright spot, it meets certain requirements. Seven wheels, arranged from bottom to top, are: submarine wheel (at Yin Hui point), belly wheel (water wheel), umbilical wheel, heart wheel (fire wheel), throat wheel (wind wheel), eyebrow wheel (moon wheel, Tang Yin point) and top wheel (Brahma wheel). Tantric Buddhism has the method of breaking the tile secret, that is, by means of initiation and chanting the secret mantra, the middle vein is forcibly opened to achieve the purpose of spiritual liberation at the end of life.

In Taoism, there is also the saying of midrib on Sunday, which belongs to the secret of not passing on, or ordinary people will not pass on this unless they reach this realm. The so-called tactics of spreading the law but not spreading it. Generally speaking, a small Sunday refers to Ren Du's two veins connected, and the body goes around once, and a big Sunday, plus the twelve meridians, is all connected. On Sunday, there are many checkpoints. Generally speaking, the body changes a lot. If it is divided into sum, it is not really general. In addition, it will run through the midvein. The fairy fetus formed, that is, the Yuan God, was born through the midvein.

In fact, the difference between the two is mainly the purpose and method of practice. Tantric Buddhism passes through the middle vein first, and then all the veins. Taoism takes the size of the week and the day first, and then the midvein. This is the difference in methods. The fundamental difference lies in the purpose of practice. Buddhism stresses liberation and seeking the afterlife, while Taoism stresses soaring and longevity (both are general remarks).
