The only producing area of white yak in the world is Tianzhu County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province. Tianzhu county has an average elevation of about 3000 meters, with a cold climate, drastic temperature changes and strong sunshine. The annual average temperature is between-1 degree Celsius and-1.3 degree Celsius, which belongs to alpine grassland with dense grass and abundant water resources. This environment is suitable for white yak to thrive.
