Yan Xi Village Committee belongs to Yanfeng Town, located in the northwest of Yanfeng Town, with Dongzhai Port in the east, Yandong Village in the south, Guilin Ocean University Town in the west and Tashi Village in the north. The total land area is 12350 mu, including 8500 mu of cultivated land, dry land 1540 mu and sloping land1/0 mu. The whole village governs 13 natural villages, 1 1 villager group, with 485 households and 1778 people.

This village is an old revolutionary base area. Qishan Party Branch was founded in 1927, and the first branch secretary Lin Keze (see "famous person") was from Qishan Village. In the agrarian revolutionary struggle, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the war of liberation, Feng Baiju, Liu Qiuju and other Qiongzong leaders persisted in the revolutionary struggle for a long time with the help of mangroves and the support of the people in the west. In War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, 25 villagers died for their country and were regarded as revolutionary martyrs after liberation. During the war of liberation, the village established youth league, women's rescue society and other organizations.

Since 1996, relying on the rich mangrove resources and natural conditions in Qiongzhou Strait, the village has vigorously adjusted its industrial structure, developed efficient agriculture focusing on seawater fishing and aquaculture, and at the same time developed efficient crops focusing on flowers and rubber to increase farmers' income.
