Tengger Desert Wetland Scenic Area is located at the southeast edge of Tengger Desert, 8 kilometers away from the center of zhongwei, Ningxia. Covering an area of 22 square kilometers, with a water area of 1000 mu, it is a desert eco-wetland tourist scenic spot integrating eco-sightseeing, leisure vacation, aquaculture, grassland horse racing, hot spring health preservation and desert golf. The special geographical environment breeds rich tourism resources.
Here, you can see the magnificent landscape of the 4-kilometer-long ruins of the ancient Great Wall in Ming Dynasty. You can stand by the lake and watch as many as 15 species of desert ecological fish and 136 species of birds, among which black storks, swans and golden eagles belong to the national first-class and second-class protected animals respectively.

Shapotou 1
Shapotou, located at the southern edge of Tengger Desert, 20km west of Zhongwei County, and on the north bank of the Yellow River, was named after a large sandbank with a width of 2000m and a height of about100m was formed on the river bank during the Qianlong period.
2. Sikouzi
Located 20km south of Xuanhe Town, zhongwei, with an area of 10 km2. Temple mouth was called Beihai in ancient times. To the south, there is a heavy pile of Xiangshan Mountain, and the mountain road is extremely dangerous. In ancient times, it was the throat of Guyuan, Pingliang and Xi 'an.
