What is the origin of Baixi's name?
Baixi, the name of a stream, is named Baishuxi, which is named after the towering cypresses on both sides of the stream.

Baishuxi originates from Gongxing Village, Baixi Street, and flows into Changsha from Bayi Village and Shaoeshan North and South streams. It twists and turns to the south, passes through the gap of Gongzi Mountain, and then suddenly turns "S" to the west along the south side of Shawanba, and joins the Jinsha River at Baixi Street. River length 18.3 km.

According to legend, the place where the cypress stream enters the Jinsha River is often haunted by black dragons, and the locals call it Heihe River.

In order to stabilize and soothe the Black Dragon, to make good weather and benefit the people, the Solitaire Bridge (also called Xilong Bridge) was set up on the Heihe River north of Baixichang in the Ming Dynasty, and the Solitaire Temple was built at the bridge head on the north bank. Today, the Solitaire Temple has been destroyed, but the Solitaire Bridge is still there. Jielong Bridge is a stone three-hole arch bridge, with a length of 35 meters, a width of 5. 1 meter and a height of 8.5 meters.
