What material and glass should be used for the sun room?
There are single-layer tempered glass, laminated tempered glass, hollow tempered glass, laminated hollow tempered glass, coated glass or LOW-E glass.

(1) single-layer tempered glass: it is a layer of glass with different thicknesses, such as 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, etc. When this kind of glass is tempered, the whole glass is broken into small particles, which is not easy to hurt people. However, once the glass is broken, it cannot prevent the glass impactor from penetrating and landing. If the shards don't fall from a very high place, because the glass shards are small and won't cause harm, the damage of the glass shards to people and property below will be reduced very little.

(2) Laminated tempered glass: This kind of glass has two layers of glass in the middle, which has high safety. Because the adhesive film of the dark layer is tough and has strong adhesion, it is not easy to be smashed through after being damaged by impact, and the fragments will not fall off. It adheres tightly to the adhesive film. Compared with other glasses, it is shockproof, burglarproof, bullet-proof and explosion-proof.

(3) Insulated tempered glass: Insulated glass has a certain thickness between two pieces of glass and is limited by flowing air or other gas layers, thus reducing the convection conduction and heat transfer of the glass, thus having good heat insulation capability. Bian Xiao suggested using hollow tempered glass as the material of the sun room. There is also a glass sun room. Commonly used glass is laminated hollow tempered glass, with two glass layers and one hollow layer, so that the glass has sufficient strength and better heat insulation.

(4) Coated glass or Low-E glass: This kind of glass reflects the infrared rays of the solar radiation center, saving energy. Windows have always been a weak link in the protective structure of buildings. In hot summer, window glass can also be properly coated. Of course, the top of many glass-topped sun rooms will also adopt coating process or LOW-E process. Generally, insulating glass or insulating laminated glass is needed for the glass adopting this process, because direct coating or Low-E laminated glass is not good and its service life is not long.
