It's okay to close your eyes when standing a pile, but be careful not to have other objects around you to avoid falling and getting hurt, because sometimes when standing a pile, you will occasionally close your eyes and shake your eyes and enter a daze, especially for novices. If there is something around you, you will easily bump into it.
Beginners are required not to stand for too long, eyes open, easily distracted, unable to restrain themselves, unable to stand on the pile, eyes closed and dizzy.
Therefore, for beginners, the standing time of each pile is mainly 15-20 minutes, so it is not easy to get dizzy even if you close your eyes. Unless you are physically exhausted, you can reduce the time, mainly by shortening each time and increasing the number of times. This can achieve the goal of gradual progress.
Novices must not be eager for quick success and instant benefit, and there is no need to ask for a long time. For stability, it's best to close your eyes, so it's not easy to get distracted. If there is no one in the environment, it is quiet and nothing is moving, you can also try to open your eyes slightly.
1, hanging curtain method
Friends who study health piles in detail know that there is a step in the pile called binocular curtain, which is explained in depth here. This is a common practice in static kung fu, which is mainly used in the martial arts that attach importance to "static", such as meditation, sleeping and static piling, including some monks in temples, statues of buddhas and bodhisattvas, Taoist priests in Dojo, and masters in practice rooms. When they meditate, their eyes are mostly in this position.
What are curtains? That is, the two eyelids hang down naturally like curtains and door curtains, showing a state that seems to be closed but not closed, but it must be natural. How can we understand it? Just look down gently and slowly, and leave a little light when you die. This is not easy to control, because this pair of natural ones can't be too open or completely closed after all. On this basis, you can look at the nose with your eyes and heart, but you don't have to look at the tip of your nose hard, otherwise your eyes will be unnatural and easy to cause pain. Therefore, with the passage of time, our skill has deepened because our spirit has been restrained and our spirit is highly concentrated, and the qi of our heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys has been restrained accordingly, reaching the state of "five qi returning to yuan" as the ancients said. At this time, your eyes will naturally close inward and let nature take its course. This is a normal phenomenon.
The degree of micro-sealing may be different in different places, and you can learn from what I teach here. You can't close your eyes, mainly because closing your eyes is not conducive to the movement and circulation of qi, and closing your eyes will make you dizzy. But standing piles won't make you dizzy because it's the process of standing piles that makes your body clear, clear and turbid, but I still suggest practicing as I say, and you can put it down gently at the beginning, but try not to close your eyes and adjust it back voluntarily later. It must be remembered that the eyes are relaxed, comfortable and natural. Because of everyone's living habits and other reasons, some friends may be difficult to control, so they were not used to it at first, but later they got better. Practice is to practice with all your spirit. If you can see what is in front of you when you are closed to the outside world, you will be distracted and may even be influenced by external things. Micro-closure is to prevent the loss of "essence, qi and spirit" and let the true qi circulate better, so your eyes are warm.
Its purpose is to help us keep quiet. Although opening our eyes will be influenced by external things, closing our eyes will easily be influenced by inner distractions, which will breed distractions and make us always want to give up. This is inner training, which is normal. Micro-enclosure can make us avoid the temptation of external bad factors, make our minds introverted and make our brain thinking more active. After calming down, you can be in a quiet state, not disturbed by foreign objects, relax wholeheartedly, and concentrate on practicing with the most essential mentality, thus cultivating the true qi, promoting the operation of qi and blood, and improving the effect of practice. Remember the truth that "the heart is not outside, the heart is not outside, and the spirit is inside". Closing your eyes is to train your mind and adjust your state of mind, so if there is no special reason, it is best not to open your eyes casually to avoid "distracting your eyes". This is also to ensure the efficacy of health preservation, make it conform to the smooth blood in the eye, so as to keep the mind introverted and keep the spirit. Close your eyes and nourish your liver, and then open your eyes after practice, you will feel refreshed and look forward to feel more awake! People with poor health and qi deficiency may not have this experience.
It's normal if your eyelids jump when you practice, concentrate on introspection and let nature take its course. Then, some friends may encounter certain environments after they are quiet. This is the long-term pollution of delusional consciousness. Although it can touch your heart, you must stick to it and don't pursue getting lost in it. This is no ordinary computer virus. This is normal, because you haven't even reached the threshold of general computer viruses, which makes you mentally exhausted at most. So you have to temper yourself. Anyway, don't take them seriously.
Why can binocular drapery refine, regulate and adjust the mind? The answer to this question can be found in "On Yan Tao": "Those who pay close attention to it accept the cleaned heart and enter it. Don't close your eyes if you don't know. First, you should convince yourself and encourage yourself. If you persuade me to come back, then calm down, and then you will enter the cavitation. This is a question of concentration. " Everyone may have different opinions, but it must be remembered that I said before standing on the pile that I should adjust my body, my heart and my breathing. Adjusting one's state of mind is to face one's state and state of mind calmly, so as to practice, put one's clean heart into the air bag (keep the abdomen), be in harmony with each other, and let it be clean. Stay natural. This is the charm of hanging curtains. There is also an old saying: "The sun and the moon are in harmony, and Jin Mu is in harmony. Let the light return to the light and reflect on it. There are eyes, ears and breath ","Look inside the heart, the heart has no heart; The appearance has its shape, and it has its shape without its shape; From a distance, there is nothing; All three are enlightened, but only in emptiness; Observing the sky is not empty, but vacuum; Looking at the sky is for the sake of stubbornness. " This is what the ancients called "the way of longevity". Of course, everyone's views are different, depending on their own experience, which is why there are active taboos when practicing, and why you need the guidance of a master!
