Eat, be constant, and use prison.

Eating hexagrams is prosperous and suitable for criminals to be sentenced to jail. The word "prison" is anti-dog on the left, word in the middle and dog on the right. Shuo Wen Jie Zi says that "prison" is the word that two dogs on both sides are guarding the middle, and the word dog is barking, that is, two dogs are guarding the barking, which embodies a kind of shock. So "prison" means imprisonment, and another meaning is litigation. Biting divination refers to how to govern the prison, strictly abide by the law and fight a good lawsuit, which is a fair and just means.

Interpretation of Xun Zhuan;

Hey, I have something in my heart, just like eating. Bite but don't hang up, just be soft, move and be clear, thunder and lightning are combined and soft, although not in place, use prison.

"I have something on my mind, so I say bite": bite is actually a stick in the middle of six hexagrams. Yi gua is a yang hexagram on the top and four yin hexagrams in the middle, just like a mouth with teeth on the top and bottom, and the middle is empty. Therefore, Yi Gua talks about keeping in good health and how to eat. This is where the idiom "keeping one's life" comes from. The fourth hexagram in the middle is also a positive hexagram, that is, there is a stick between the upper and lower teeth of the hexagram, which means "something is in my heart." If you want to bite a stick, you have to use force. This is the six-pointed star. "Bite, bite" is beside the word. "Bite" means to bite with your teeth, and "bite" means to shut your mouth. Through this image, biting hexagrams shows that the implementation of criminal law should be as powerful as biting with teeth.

"Insist on prosperity": Why do you insist that hexagrams can prosper? Let's look at its structure: the upper divination is deviant, the lower divination is shocking, and there are three Yin San Yang divinations in the six hexagrams, which are intertwined with yin and yang, so they flourish; "rigidity and softness": the separation of yin and yang in biting hexagrams means that good and evil must be distinguished when enforcing the law; "moving and understanding": "moving" refers to the divination above, and "understanding" refers to the divination below. Actions should be aboveboard and justice should be aboveboard; "Thunder and lightning are combined into one chapter": divination is thunder, deviation is lightning, and the execution of criminal law should be as fast, violent and accurate as lightning; "Soft in the middle": The Sixth Five-Year Plan is the most important of the hexagrams, and it is the yin that lives in the middle of the hexagrams. Yin is weak, thanks to the rigidity of criminal law, which shows that although people who endanger the public should be strictly enforced, it is to safeguard justice and care for the public, which is a manifestation of love, so in the hearts of law enforcement people. Therefore, "although it is not in place, it is also useful to use prison": although the sixth five-year plan is not in place, it is very beneficial to the management of prisons. If this is the fifth place where these criminal laws are enforced, and it is masculinity to do masculine things, it is too much, but it is not good.
