Shenyang Gong Li University was formerly the Industrial College of the Military Industry Department of the Northeast Military Region, which was founded in 1948.

1950, some weapons majors of Shenyang Gong Li University moved to Beijing, and jointly established Beijing Institute of Technology (Beijing Institute of Technology) with Yan 'an Academy of Natural Sciences and Beijing Sino-French University.
