What is Baduanjin?
Baduanjin is a qigong skill in ancient China, which was formed in the Song Dynasty and first appeared in Hong Mai's Yi Jian Zhiyi in the Southern Song Dynasty. It consists of eight kinds of body movements, including body movements and respiratory regulation.

In the early years of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty, Anonymous was adapted as follows: 1. Holding the Three Focuses of Heaven in both hands; Second, the left and right bows are like vultures; Third, conditioning the spleen and stomach must be single-handed; Four, five strains and seven injuries look back; Fifth, wagging your head and getting angry; Sixth, the seven diseases behind it are gone; Seven, save boxing glare to increase strength; Eight, climb your feet with both hands, strengthen your kidney and waist. Now it has been widely used in fitness gymnastics.

Baduanjin has two meanings: first, it shows that it is a skill that highlights various practice methods; Second, it comes from a kind of brocade called "Ba Duan Jin", which means constant movements during practice.

Baduanjin is one of the most popular ancient leadership arts in China, which has the greatest influence on the development of leadership arts. It is divided into sitting Baduanjin and standing Baduanjin, north Baduanjin and south Baduanjin, Wen Baduanjin and Wu Baduanjin, Shaolin Baduanjin and Taiji Baduanjin.

1982 On June 28th, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and the then State Sports Commission of China issued a notice, regarding Ba Duanjin and other traditional fitness methods in China as one of the contents of "Healthy physical education class" promoted in medical colleges. In 2003, China's State Sports General Administration promoted the fitness methods such as rearranging Ba Duan Jin as the content of "Fitness Qigong" to the whole country.
