On the Taihang Mountain in the west of Xingtai County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, there are two villages, Hongshi Village and yingtan Village. The ancient village has a building scale of 4,500 square meters, surrounded by mountains on three sides and rivers in the east. It has a history of over 600 years. There are 67 courtyards of Qing Dynasty houses in the village, which are surrounded by mountains and waters, and have a typical style of Taihang ancient buildings, and have been well preserved so far.
According to historical records, Xingtai was once the territory of Huang Chao and Zhu Wen in the Tang Dynasty, and yingtan Village is said to be the camp left by the Huang Chao Uprising Army. Outside the ancient village, there is a street called. Blood wash? The mountain stream is said to be named after the Battle of Huang Chao. During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, a big family named Lu settled here.
The village wall of yingtan Village is the best preserved village wall in China. According to the ink inscription on the east gate of the village, it was built in the seventh year of Xianfeng (1857). At that time, there was a serious drought in Linxian County, Henan Province, and a large number of victims came here to beg. The ancestors of this ancient village named Lu donated porridge to the victims for days on end. In order to express their gratitude, the victims spontaneously organized the construction of village walls and attics at the entrance of the village.
The houses in the village are both bluestone and red stone, mostly small buildings with two or three floors. Because of the different topography, they are layered and varied, making them the best preserved Shi Cun in Hebei Province. It is worth mentioning that each of these stone buildings built on the mountain has no stairs. You need to go out first, climb the hill, and then go into the house.
Although yingtan Village is located in Hebei Province, it is very different from the houses in southern Hebei. According to China's traditional architectural theory, opening the back door of a house is easy to escape money and attract thieves. But yingtan Village not only opened the back door of the yard, but also opened the back door as big as the front door. As long as there is someone in the room, the front and rear doors are open, allowing guests to move freely. The local people said with a smile that they can eat all over the village with bowls.
The buildings in the village are all made of stone and slate, and there are no bricks. The roof consists of wooden beams and rafters, covering the Shi Zhuan. They are strong, warm in winter and cool in summer. For hundreds of years, these old buildings have experienced heavy rains and flash floods and are still intact. Along the winding street, you can reach the top of yingtan Village. Standing here, you can overlook the layers of slate roofs in the village. Very interesting.
Guihetang, located in the center of yingtan Village, has the largest number of houses and the highest architectural level. Guihetang has two spring caves. The spring in front of the door is like a line. The spring water in the yard dripped down. The dripping rate is constant throughout the year. There has been a saying since ancient times:? A drop of spring water is outside the door, and a line of spring water is outside the door. How happy life is, just like a living fairy. ? .
Many courtyards in the village still retain the decoration of hollowed-out wood carvings in the Qing Dynasty, with the theme of longevity, health preservation, farming, reading and inheritance. Compared with Hongcun, Xidi and other famous ancient villages, yingtan Village is much less famous, but the most interesting thing is its simple folk customs and no excessive commercialization. If there is an opportunity, you might as well come here for a walk.
