In most people's concept, it refers to modern qigong, that is, "mass qigong" and "park qigong" in the 1980s and 1990s, but it can't include China's traditional health preserving methods which have been passed down for thousands of years. From the content, Qigong did absorb some basic skills of China's traditional health preserving methods, but all of them stayed at a lower level. When talking about the difference between qigong and reiki yoga, we can consider it from the following aspects:

Modern Qigong originated from the creation of some teachers in the 1980s and 1990s. Although it claims to have absorbed the essence of traditional culture, it is actually a personal opinion. It came into being in a short time, without enough social practice process, and without historical test and elimination. Therefore, it has some specific technical defects, which leads to many people's deviation in practice, but it hurts their health. Reiki yoga has a history of 100 years and is widely spread in all countries and regions of the world. Tested by people of all ethnic groups, it is safe and reliable.
