Chen's martial arts, Chen's boxing and martial arts were carried forward when they were introduced. His grandfather and father were both junior officials in the Ming Dynasty. His four brothers are the second. He has been gifted and studious since childhood. He not only acquired the essence of martial arts handed down from his family, but also excelled in martial arts. He is familiar with hundred schools of thought, has dabbled in a subset of classics and history, and has profound knowledge. He is known as "Wen Tao is slightly better than the times".
My personal experience comes from a landlord family. When I was young, I used to run darts, sweep bandits and broadcast Qilu all over Shandong. Bandits bandits are known for their cowardice. Because of his ruddy complexion, solemn expression, beautiful beard and riding a red war horse, he was used to wielding a broadsword in the Spring and Autumn Period, so his Jianghu friends called him "Duke Guan of Er". Unfortunately, he was born at the wrong time. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, he was only born in Wu Kiln and was guarded by county soldiers. During the Chongzhen period, there was a martial arts examination. Because of his superior martial arts and superb archery, one arrow hit the phoenix to seize the nest (that is, the second arrow squeezed out the first arrow from the bull's eye, and the third arrow squeezed out the second arrow, like a bird fighting for the nest), which won a full house applause. However, because the drummer who beat the drum took bribes, he only beat the drum three times (that is, nine arrows hit three), and the examiner heard the drums, that is, three arrows hit three. Then, Chen was furious, and the flying horse drew his sword, hacked the drummer to death and escaped from the tinker.
Jia (1644) around the fall of the Ming Dynasty, Chen was old, living in a simple life, passive, entertaining himself with fists and teaching his disciples and grandchildren. In the first half of the inscription, there is "sigh that year, you persevered, and ... several times!" Blessed in vain! Now I am old and exhausted, and finally only Huang Ting is left. Make a fist when you are free, plow when you are busy, and teach a few disciples and grandchildren when you are free, so that Jackie Chan can become a tiger.
According to Chen's Boxing Instrument Manual, the gloves made by Chen are Tai Ji Chuan (Thirteen Potential) No.5, Changquan 188, Gun Hammer 1 ... Qi Jiguang's Boxing Classic No.32 potential, which was absorbed by the 29 potential. During his seclusion in his later years, based on ancestral boxing, combined with the theory of Tai Chi Yin and Yang, and referring to the theory of meridians in traditional Chinese medicine and the method of guiding qi and exhaling, he created a set of Tai Ji Chuan which combines yin and yang and combines rigidity and softness. Chen's tradition has been handed down from one to five sets of Tai Ji Chuan, one gun and one long fist, 108 potential, double pusher, knife, gun, sword, stick, mallet, double gun and other instruments. Among them, double pushers and double guns have unprecedented unique styles. The main descendants of Chen Tai Ji Chuan are: friends, cousins Chen Ruxin and Chen.
The development of boxing is self-created. He widely collects and sorts out folk martial arts. Compared with them, he learns from others, inherits and innovates, and enjoys it all year round. These activities made him one of the outstanding figures in sorting out folk martial arts after Qi Jiguang, a famous anti-Japanese fighter in Ming Dynasty. It can be clearly seen from his activities of studying and sorting out folk martial arts and his later "General Songs of Boxing Classics" that Qi's influence was great, and there were 32 "Boxing Classics" compiled by Qi. In contrast, the twenty-nine potentials in Boxing Classic are integrated into the creative Chen-style Tai Ji Chuan. At the same time, its long fist also brings together many different postures. It can be seen that it has learned and absorbed many other kinds of boxing.
On the basis of collecting and studying folk martial arts, Chen creatively integrated Taiji Yin-Yang theory, guidance, breath absorption and meridian theory of traditional Chinese medicine into martial arts. Therefore, he created a set of boxing methods, which combined the opening and closing of Yin and Yang, the transformation of reality and reality, the combination of rigidity and softness, and the speed alternating with that of Xian Yi, which not only played a practical role, but also strengthened the body. According to the Taiji theory, this new fist moves from infinity to Taiji, from non-phase to phase, from stillness to vividness. Each move is divided into yin and yang (that is, virtual, real, soft and rigid), and the movements are mostly arcs and curves. This fist, because of the combination of guidance and breathing, strengthens the strength of softness and rigidity; Because of the combination of meridian theory, it has the winding strength of winding operation; Because of the theory of yin and yang, there is a boxing theory of combining yin and yang, virtual reality and rigidity with softness. Therefore, Chen named this boxing "Taiji Zhuan", and later people called it "Chen Taiji Zhuan".
Tai Ji Chuan, a new Chen style, is divided into five roads and one road, with one hundred and eight potential long fists and double pushes. According to this principle, he also created equipment routines such as knives, guns, swords, sticks, hammers and double guns. Among them, two-person pushing hands and two-person sticking marksmanship are his original achievements. It is based on the principle of sticking to the top, combining rigidity with flexibility, and no fault. It has become an unprecedented and unique competitive method, which solves the problem of practicing unarmed combat skills and improving javelin skills without protective equipment. This is an epoch-making creative achievement in the history of China Wushu.
In the early Qing Dynasty, he lived in seclusion in the countryside, collected and sorted out folk martial arts accompanied by Huang Ting, and decided to fight boxing. He synthesized the strengths of various schools and created Tai Ji Chuan, which became the source of Tai Ji Chuan that swept the world. Therefore, it is well-known in the world and respected as the originator by Tai Ji Chuan circles at home and abroad. His hometown, Chenjiagou, is also regarded as a "holy land" by fans of Taiji Biography, which leads to an endless stream of worshippers.
The development of boxing is greatly influenced by the arrangement of Wushu routines by Qijia. Qi's "Boxing Classics" is a collection of 16 kinds of folk boxing methods from ancient times to modern times, taking its essence and removing its coarseness, and knitting gloves in 32 postures as the "source of martial arts" for soldiers to practice; Chen absorbed twenty-nine of them and put them into Tai Ji Chuan routine. "Long Boxing" alone brings together 108 different postures, which shows that he has absorbed a variety of boxing methods. The thirty-second trend of Boxing Classic is "lazy to tie clothes", and Chen's seven sets of boxing methods are also based on "lazy to tie clothes" (the clothes with round ties have been used from Yin to Ming Dynasty. In the Ming Dynasty, the gown was tied around the waist, and when performing boxing, the gown was rolled up and stuffed in the belt to kick. Qi's "Boxing Classics" began to "tie clothes lazily", with his left hand tucked in his back belt, his right fist raised backward and his eyes looking at the left front. People who are called "lazy to tie their clothes" mean that they will pick up their clothes at will when facing the enemy, which shows that they are skilled in martial arts and are in no hurry when facing the enemy. The form of Qi's "Lazy Tie Clothes" is called "You can open your eyes and clear your hands before you face the enemy", and the score of boxing and the general melody of boxing classics are also taken from the lyrics of Qi's "Boxing Classics". Chen's creative achievement in boxing is to combine guidance with breathing, so that he can sweat without panting when practicing boxing and strengthen the explosive force of softening; The winding principle of winding operation is the combination of meridian theory; The boxing theory of combining yin and yang, virtual reality and rigidity and softness adopts yin and yang theory. Pushing hands with both hands and sticking marksmanship with both hands are Chen's original achievements. Sticking to the top, not losing the top, and seeking rigidity with softness are the basic principles, which has become a unique competitive method of Tai Ji Chuan School. It solves the problem that you can practice unarmed combat skills and improve javelin skills without protective equipment. This is an epoch-making creative achievement in the history of China Wushu. There are two sentences at the beginning of Chen's "General Song of Boxing Classics": "I don't know how to bend and stretch, but it depends on winding" ("relying" means that two people lean against each other with their arms, use their shoes, squeeze and press; By the end of 18, Wang Zongyue, Wu Yuxiang and Li Yishe had developed Tai Ji Chuan's theory and practice methods, and each of them had written a paper summarizing Tai Ji Chuan. Chen Jiagou, the 16th descendant of Chen, expounded the accumulated experience in boxing practice, and spent 13 years writing "Illustration of Chen Tai Ji Chuan", in which he elaborated his reasoning method step by step, and explained his boxing theory with the principle of combining rigidity with softness, alternating speed and many a mickle makes a muckle, so as to control boxing with internal strength. These have become the guiding theories for practicing Tai Ji Chuan and pushing hands.
The gloves made by Chen have been passed down from generation to generation in Chenjiagou. After five generations, it spread to the 14th generation of Chen Changxing. Chen only specialized in Tai Ji Chuan No.1 Road and Baohammer Road, that is, Chen Tai Ji Chuan No.1 Road and No.2 Road, which have been passed down to this day. Yang-style Tai Ji Chuan and Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan evolved directly from Chen-style Tai Ji Chuan of Chen Changxing generation.
Chen's "Song of Boxing Classics" summed up the logic of his gloves, and later it was recorded:
I don't know how to bend and stretch, but I rely on entanglement.
There is progress in cutting and pushing, but it is difficult to lose when moving.
Who knows that the hook shed is forcing everyone to know?
Pretend to lose, cheat away, and lure back to win.
The rolling bolt sweeps the spirit more subtly, and the horizontal split is more bizarre.
Cut through the elbow, and then pick up the red gun hammer in the wind;
Second, change your feet and leggings on the left and right sides of your face;
Seamless lock before cutting and after pressing, familiar with diversion.
When you are in a cage, you must remember that you can attack, retreat and defend without delay.
There are many hidden skulls in the world, but few in the world.
If a teacher doesn't know this truth, it will be difficult to speak martial arts.
Anecdote This autumn harvest, Chen and He were working in the field when a rabbit ran past them. Chen deliberately tried on Scud and said, "Hey! What a piece of meat, but unfortunately I didn't bring a bow and arrow and ran away in vain! " Jiang Fa said, "Look at me!" Say, let go of the footsteps and catch up like a fly. The rabbit was brought back alive, no plot. He came to Chen and tapped the rabbit's leg with a finger. He broke the rabbit's leg early and threw it to the ground. Chen laughed and said, "Scud, Scud!" Just as they were talking, a hungry eagle found a rabbit struggling underground, rushing down from the air, grabbing it with its claws and flying away. Chen didn't ignore him, but he jumped ten feet to the ground and grabbed the rabbit from its paw. Jiang Fa repeatedly cheered for joy.
Later, after Chen created Tai Ji Chuan, he studied under Chen and followed Chen to learn from Tai Ji Chuan. He has a good martial arts foundation and made rapid progress. After a long time, he always wants to learn a few tricks from Chen. After several requests, Chen always smiled and didn't answer. So Jiang Faxin had a plan. One night, when they were trying to figure out Tai Ji Chuan's new fist, they suddenly jumped up, pulled out the single knife on the weapon rack beside them, and cut it according to the unarmed Chen.
Chen rushed to the wall from the middle of the yard without waiting for the knife. Jiang Fa is one step closer, another knife. Passing 18-wheeler, I saw Chen and he lifted the handle together, only to hear a "whoosh". Like an iron block attracted by a magnet, he stuck to the wall more than ten feet high at once, as if he had been nailed, motionless.
Jiang Fa has been wandering the Jianghu for half his life, and he is over half a century old. He only heard people say "hanging pictures on the wall", but he always didn't believe it in his heart on weekdays, thinking that people in the Jianghu deliberately boasted, and only today did he know that the rumor was true. But these stunts can't be done by ordinary people.
Later, Jiang Fa died in Chenjiagou. Later generations contributed a lot to the compilation of Tai Ji Chuan's Spectrum, and they were Chen's friends and apprentices, so even he was included. It is after Chen in Boxing Manual that he holds the knife for Chen.
Boxing is characterized by combining boxing with guidance and breathing.
Guiding and breathing are fitness skills. It is a fitness method created by Hua Tuo, a great doctor at the end of Han Dynasty, who imitates the movements of animals such as flexion and extension, looking around and jumping, combined with breathing movements. It's called "Wuqinxi". Chen unified the hands, eyes, body, methods and steps in Wushu, and made the consciousness, breathing and movements closely combined, becoming a "internal and external integration" internal boxing.
Combination of Wushu and Meridian of Traditional Chinese Medicine
According to my own experience, combined with the principle of meridian theory, I created the Tai Ji Chuan routine of winding spiral movement.
Double stick gun and big stick sparring events
The basic antagonistic training methods of Tai Ji Chuan's long weapons are sticking marksmanship, sticking to each other, storing and developing phase-change spears and sparring with sticks. Combined with the unique silk winding strength of Chen style boxing, it is transported to the equipment, which opens up a simple and easy way to improve the sparring technique of long weapons.
