Since then, there have been countless works of poets chanting lotus. In the Song Dynasty alone, Yang Wanli left dozens of lotus poems. Due to the different moods, interests and aesthetic angles of poets, poems about lotus have various forms and different verve. Qu Yuan once fantasized in Li Sao: "Make lotus hair as clothes and pick hibiscus as clothes." Used to show their loyalty. Li Bai expressed his love with lotus flowers in "Folding Lotus Gifts". Wang Bo, one of the "four outstanding figures in the early Tang Dynasty", once compared people with lotus flowers: "Holding flowers * * * and connecting stems, folding lotus roots and loving lotus lines." Therefore, the lotus is regarded by Buddhists as reflecting the past, present and future at the same time.

The pure land of bliss has no past, present and future. Lotus, with its eternal appearance, enjoys exclusive "blessing" and becomes the flower of the pure land world.

Lotus also has the characteristic of "emerging from the mud without being stained", which means that all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas live in harmony with the dust, and they are all in Xiu De where the dust is not stained.
