Brief introduction of Shaolin Temple in the north of Hebei Mancheng
North Shaolin Temple, founded in the first year of Qing Dynasty (A.D. 13 12), was built by Injong (Ai Yu). Its inscription on the imperial edict is now in the courtyard of Wu Wen Vocational School in North Shaolin Temple. The temple is not only magnificent, resplendent and full of incense, but also has many monks and lay disciples. His "northern leg" kung fu is famous all over the country. Cangzhou Kung Fu, the hometown of martial arts in Hebei Province, originated from this place and was called the Wulin Holy Land in North China in ancient times.
